Mesquite Golf Course
About
Mesquite’s muni, located in the Duck Creek floodplain, was built in the 1960s by Leon Howard. Playing only 6,280 yards from the tips and void of bunkers, it makes for a fun day on the links. In fact, water comes into play only seven times–not as much as you might think for a floodplain course that has been ravaged by floods over the years.
The most challenging hole, No. 13, has water. It’s a 418-yard par 4 that doglegs right and features a tee shot over a creek, followed by a long approach to a tough, narrow green.
Other notes: Garrett Gill and George B. Williams redesigned this course.
Getting there : From I-30 east, take Northwest Hwy. for .5 mile to North Hwy. 67 and the course.

Fast greens
This course is in as good a shape as any I’ve played lately. Greens are very, very fast. Do not be above the hole, it cost me three 4-putts. I enjoyed the added challenge. Two of us drove up from South Grand Prairie, and I’ll do it again.
Putting Pleasure
Although recently sanded, the green were quick but true. Good greens make any round fun. They should be fantastic in a week or so.
Very nice course
I play this course regularly since I live in Mesquite. I play it using GolfNow hot deals which cannot be beat. As Gary Player would say “for the love of God, go” play it.
Course is improving
-Much better job of course time management this week.
-Greens were much better, but fairways are hard pan and could be improved
-Appreciate use of GolfNow TT. Makes it affordable for me and my family. Wish Mesquite could be more competive with Woodbridge and Firewheel on GolfNow hot deal rates. Would play at Mesquite twice as often. Enjoy playing Mesquite.
Very nice course
I enjoy playing this course. Nice layout. Some open fairways but provides challenges to your game. Very friendly staff. I definitely recommend playing it.
Good as advertised
Played this course after seeing numerous positive reviews and was not disappointed. Course was in great shape for this time of year and it was plenty challenging. Pace of play was excellent and marshals were out to make sure it kept up. Best course in DFW for the price. Will definitely be back.
Great shape
With all the rain we’ve had, the course is in great shape. The greens are in very good shape. They roll good. Pin placement can be challenging. Very good course layout for all skill levels. I highly recommend it. Great GolfNow value.
Friendly Course In Very Good Condition
We were able to get a tee time for mid-afternoon on Easter. SUrprised how the course was in such great condition. very Nice
My home course
The course was in very good shape. Although it was cart path only after a heavy downpour of rain the previous day it was very playable. I did get some muddy golf balls. The course is worth playing.
Great Bang for your Buck!
This is a good course for those looking to get a good round of golf in! Long on a few holes and par 3 are nicely laid out! Go! I’ll be back!
find another course or wait for better conditions
Highly recommended by family that played here last year. But the same member was astonished at the difference. They are not watering the fairways. It has been very dry. Except for the excellent weather, the course was like early January. Greens were the worst I've seen in years.Hard & fast. But the surface was so poor one had to be really aggressive to the cup. Not going to get a true roll unless you hit the ball too hard. Like playing with a Mexican jumping bean ball! Fairways and rough were mowed very short. So forget about taking a divot with your swing. More likely you'll injure your wrist. Same for around the "green" chip shots. Bad for a pincher. Impossible for anything else.
The Greens are Fun
I played in high winds, making approaches difficult but the fun started after reaching the greens. They were smooth, fast, and undulating, but surprisingly readable. This is a fun course.
Great everything
Nothing more to say than if you like golf you'll love this course.
