Mesquite Golf Course
About
Mesquite’s muni, located in the Duck Creek floodplain, was built in the 1960s by Leon Howard. Playing only 6,280 yards from the tips and void of bunkers, it makes for a fun day on the links. In fact, water comes into play only seven times–not as much as you might think for a floodplain course that has been ravaged by floods over the years.
The most challenging hole, No. 13, has water. It’s a 418-yard par 4 that doglegs right and features a tee shot over a creek, followed by a long approach to a tough, narrow green.
Other notes: Garrett Gill and George B. Williams redesigned this course.
Getting there : From I-30 east, take Northwest Hwy. for .5 mile to North Hwy. 67 and the course.

Good times.
I enjoy playing this course and have played it on a few occasions. The greens are fast, challenging, and fantastic. The course is in good shape while the staff is very friendly and helpful. Good times.
Was decent. Staff was friendly.golf course is what you pay is what you get. Nothing to complain..
Great Greens, Solid Layout, Few issues
Played Mesquite GC yesterday for the first time. Very pleased with the grass and greens conditions, which makes the round 100% worth the value. Course layout is decent, lots of holes stacked on top of eachother. Pro Shop said we couldn’t get carts until 10 minutes before our tee time. Then charged us an extra 10$ because they paired us with a solo and he rode separately. Doesn’t make since as I reserved 2 carts for three people and solo chose to ride alone. Pace of play was great until hole 17 we were backed up 5 groups randomly. Took 30 minutes to tee off that hole. Not well ran, solid track for value.
Awesome Greens
You will not find better greens on any municipal course.
Fast greens
First time playing this course. The greens were in great shape. Very fast. The carts don’t have gps and there are no cart girls selling beer. It was somewhat challenging but yet easy enough to make pars. Great course for the $. Would play again
Greens are first class
For the money there are no finer greens in the Dallas area.
Excellent course
Hi.
I played Mesquite course today and it was a great round.
Course was in good nick and the greens were brilliant.
One slight problem.
I booked Monday 9th. September to play but got my days mixed up and was showed up today 10th. September to play.
The course wouldn’t honour my golf now certificate so I had to play for todays round. $37 for myself and the same for my partner
Is there any way you could credit me the fee for another day?
I hope you can help out with this as I’m a regular golf now client.
Thank you.
Don.
Best greens under $50 in DFW
This is a fun course which can be challenging at times from the tips. The big highlight are the greens. You won’t find greens rolling as true and fast when paying this kind of money. Expect a challenge on the greens and be rewarded with two putts. 3 and 4 putts are not out of question when you play here. The rest of the course is decent and I think is a really good value for your money.
