Mesquite Golf Course
About
Mesquite’s muni, located in the Duck Creek floodplain, was built in the 1960s by Leon Howard. Playing only 6,280 yards from the tips and void of bunkers, it makes for a fun day on the links. In fact, water comes into play only seven times–not as much as you might think for a floodplain course that has been ravaged by floods over the years.
The most challenging hole, No. 13, has water. It’s a 418-yard par 4 that doglegs right and features a tee shot over a creek, followed by a long approach to a tough, narrow green.
Other notes: Garrett Gill and George B. Williams redesigned this course.
Getting there : From I-30 east, take Northwest Hwy. for .5 mile to North Hwy. 67 and the course.

Excellent course
Hi.
I played Mesquite course today and it was a great round.
Course was in good nick and the greens were brilliant.
One slight problem.
I booked Monday 9th. September to play but got my days mixed up and was showed up today 10th. September to play.
The course wouldn’t honour my golf now certificate so I had to play for todays round. $37 for myself and the same for my partner
Is there any way you could credit me the fee for another day?
I hope you can help out with this as I’m a regular golf now client.
Thank you.
Don.
Best greens under $50 in DFW
This is a fun course which can be challenging at times from the tips. The big highlight are the greens. You won’t find greens rolling as true and fast when paying this kind of money. Expect a challenge on the greens and be rewarded with two putts. 3 and 4 putts are not out of question when you play here. The rest of the course is decent and I think is a really good value for your money.
Perfect Greens
Had a great time. Course conditions were nice for the end of August in Texas. Greens are immaculate. All employees were helpful and friendly. Electric carts were in good shape.
Course is fun. Staff sucks!
The course was fun greens roll nice. But man do the people that work here really put a stain on the place. Had a rain check receipt that the ink came off of and the wouldn’t honor it. Wasn’t all their fault but it really sucked
If u don’t care about how you’re treated it’s a fun course
Stunning and Tight
The course was absolutely beautiful. It is a fairly tight course that can be a little intimidating. The greens were the best greens I have ever played on, not a single blemish on them and they were rolling true.
Overall a wonderful course that I cannot wait to play again!
Dyed Greens and Weird Marshal
I’ve played a lot of courses in dfw and this course was interesting. Mesquite isn’t the best part of dfw nor were the facilities. I will say the greens were good. They were in good condition but they also dye the heck out of them which is a little funny in my opinion. Mesquite isn’t a world class place so why try to deceive people with the dye? Yes they roll well but just let them be as they are. Kind of pathetic to dye them as much as they do. You’re in mesquite not some world class destination. Fairways and most parts of the course were burnt to a crisp. Older gentleman that was a Marshall was quite rude and was talking like we were on some exclusive country club….
Great Greens
Great course for the price. The ground crew have the greens in great shape.
Great course layout
The layout was very thoughtfully designed. Plenty of different shots needed to play this course well. I had a great time and will play again.
Greens are nice!!
Soft but fast greens but overall well maintained great course!!
Best public course in DFW
Title says it all, and the greens are up there with the private clubs as well.
