La Quinta at Quail Valley Golf Course

Practice green was in good shape, but course greens were bumpy with several bad spots. Fairways were extremely bumpy. Cart paths need to be redone.

Great staff and pace of play. Greens on this course once were better.

Course was great. Pace of play was a bit slow due to some confusion around cart path only on some holes versus all. Nice mix of difficulty.

They should not have opened the course if they know..it takes few days for rain water to evaporate. Yes..there is no infrastructure where rain water it drained out...its completely flooded and waste of money...they just wait for Sun god to help them evaporate water from everywhere..every single sand bunker was flooded..anything non fairway was all flooded.

This course holds water way too much. We did get a lot of rain yesterday but I know other courses in the area don’t retain water like this. I would say 16/18 holes were almost unplayable because of this.

Range closed I assume because it’s flooded.

Cart path only because of water.

My biggest issue was not the water but I don’t understand how this course is rated so highly. The fairways are almost completely dead, the greens look like they got aerated 1-2 weeks ago and haven’t recovered. The course is quite frankly in pretty bad condition. Even the rough is very patchy.

Even at $25 I wouldn’t play this course again anytime soon. As it was my first time and the staff/pace of play was great I’ll give it another shot in the fall maybe. If the course was in as good of shape as cinco or memorial it would be a 4-5 star course.

When you arrive you'll notice the staff is concerned with having fun amongst themselves and will not take the time to really help you. Also while a public course, ,the staff's friends go in front of you or get their way on their course. While the foresome in front of me had 2 holes in front of them open, the ranger said he could not talk to them. If you can find another course go there; otherwise just be ready to have patience.

Got rained out before we could get started. The pro shop said to call now and let them know and they would call the pro shop to verify and we should get a refund since we never started but there was know way to talk to someone at golf now. When you call you only get the automated system. So if anyone can help please do. Thanks

I enjoy both courses here. Staff have been very friendly. Seen a few examples of bad behaviour by golfers not repairing pitch marks and such but it’s nice layout with more room for error than ElDorado course. Hot deals are a great value when you can get them.

Wonderful experience at La Quinta. Visiting my daughter and had a day to play and La Quinta was very accommodating. I played as a single and staff was friendly and helpful to get me going. Course is in great shape other than greens had been aerated about a week ago. Will definitely play again!

The course has its pros and cons; but there was no heads up on the aerated greens, like come on. The fairways were in rough shape too. Based on other courses on GOLFNOW, you can find better for the same price.. I’ll play here again but will make sure to call ahead before booking a tee time.

Aerated greens, rough fairways, guys mowing over my golf ball and close to where we were hitting. It wasn't a good round. I will return, but not anytime soon.

Green were punch and didn’t even know the staff should have said something about it but they didn’t even care

The site did not notify or alert us that the greens were recently punched and full of sand. Some of the holes were not playable due to the course greens being watered as well. The curse is usually in good shape, but this particular day was very frustrating because the greens weren't playable.

The course conditions can definitely be improved, there’s so many up and down hills on the fairway along with the uncut grass in the rough and on the fairways. It could be kept up a little better than what it has been.
