Very handy public course
I’ve been playing this course for many years, and it’s in it’s best shape ever. The pace of play is usually pretty good, but we got behind four forsomes today that practically shut the course down. Not sure why this was allowed to happen, but it caused us to skip three holes to save our sanity. Up until this point all was great.
Another day at the office
Slow, slow, slow
Okay layout - Nothing fancy.
Nice course if you want lower your handicap.
It;s a classic layout but it can get tricky even for some scratch golfers. You must have been playing well, which is nice. Hope to have you back again.

Great day for golf. Course in as good of condition as I’ve ever seen it over the past 2 years I’ve been playing. Pace was very good at mid morning time. Can’t wait to get back and play again.
Thank you and we look forward to having you back again soon.
Nice layout with a good mix of easier and challenging holes
La Quinta is a pretty long course with some wide open fairways and some where you need to hit the right line. Some carefully planted trees can make for tough the shots to the green. A lot of elevated greens call for precise flop shots or bumps into the slopes.
Unfortunately the green were recently punched and patches up here and there so it was hard to get confident on the greens.
The only annoying thing of the course are the many smal humps and bumps in the fairways that make for an unpleasant drivie inthe cart. Some leveling would be appreciated!
Thrilled you like the old school layout. We're working on the rolling bumps and hope to have you back again. Thank you for the feedback.
It was hot out wasn't it? Thank you for playing La Quinta!
Great layout with a variety of different options on playing holes. Greens were in need of work, but still decent.
Thank you! The greens are a work in progress and are steadily getting better. Please revisit and you'll see how they get better and better.

Course is in very good condition aside from 2-3 greens that are under repair. Pace was good once I went around an extremely slow 3some. Had to miss a par 4 to do it. Not sure why Marshall wasn’t moving that group as they were really holding up play for a few groups.
Thank you for coming out. Our player assistants do what they can to help groups move along but there's only so much they can do. We appreciate your patience. Hope to have you back again.
Best Courses in the greater Houston area for the price.
I have played many courses in the Houston area, by far the best for the value.
We think so too! Thank you very much.
Good stuff!
The course was great! We used a hot deal, and there wasn’t ANYBODY on the course. So it was great to not be rushed or having to wait on people. Challenging but fun layout. The greens were still being patched up, but that’s not that big of a deal. Will play again!
Gnats everywhere
Greens still recovering but getting better, fairways nice. The gnats are so bad it’s almost unplayable. Very frustrating round because of them. Staff was great.
Thank you and solid work battling our Southern Texas winds.
Thank you for playing La Quinta again and hope to have you back more often.
Apologies the course wasn't up to par for you. La Quinta can be a great value. Please feel free to discuss your concerns with staff or management next time you play. Thank you.
