La Quinta at Quail Valley Golf Course
About
La Quinta Course, one of the two regulation courses at Quail Valley, is a typical regulation course, slightly more difficult than El Dorado because of the water in play on 10 holes.

Highly recommend this course
The course overall is in great condition even for a city owned course. I'll go here any day over Greatwood... my only concern was that the greens needed some work but you could tell they've been trying to get them back up to shape and my saying that in no way means they are unplayable. I'll definitely go back.
This course has a great staff.
The staff is frendily and Coach takes his time to assist you, he makes you feel welcomed. The course is is well maintained and challenging.
Many thanks. We always enjoy having you out. See you again.
Quail Valley - La Quinta
Very favorable impression of course & staff. Would recommend to players of all skill levels.
Glad you played La Quinta again. We appreciate the positive comments about the staff. We share them with everyone. They're golfers too. See you next time.
The course has a nice lay out, but greens and bunkers need attention
Overall nice experience. Bunkers and greens needs attention, greens are slow even down hill putts you have to hit. Some bunkers have almost no sand in places and impossible to get a wedge under the ball. We had a 5 ball in front of us and waited on each and every t-box. Played Eldorado previously, on the day a 2 ball in front of us, a 1 ball behind us and another behind them, we were a 3 ball and had to rush, why didn't the starter make up 4 balls?
Thank you for coming back to play La Quinta. We hear you on the bunkers and greens... If you can believe it, we just started a revamp of the bunkers and green complexes after this years tumultuous weather. Hope you make it back to La Quinta or El Dorado, and we'll continue to work with our starters/marshals.
Greens need some care
I'm from Louisiana and currently working in Houston. Not a bad course and a cool layout in the subdivision. I expected greens to be better for price and establishment, bunkers could use some care. Sharpetown city course has better greens, Cypress Lake awesome and Cinco Ranch is real nice.
Chad, thank you for coming out to Quail Valley. We appreciate the feedback and do our best to adjust agronomy cycles appropriately. We hope you come back out to play La Quinta again or give the newer El Dorado a loop.
Thank you for playing La Quinta again. As a beginner playing about once a month, we appreciate you choosing Quail Valley to learn the game. And we know how the extra cold winter weather this year can be tough. See you next time and hope we can earn more stars.
Good Golf Close to Home
I love the convenience of this course and the wide fairways. The grounds are well maintained. Could use more watering stations. I booked a family of 4 for a 10:30a tee time using Golfnow. Just so, the La Quinta club knows, Golfnow has not returned my many calls to customer service to get clarification why the HAPPYHOLIDAYS promo did not work. When you go to the Golfnow website, the email button doesn't work. As far as I'm concerned this was a scam and I would hope that the Quail Valley club is not associated with it.
Thank you for playing here again and bringing the whole family! We'll check with Golfnow to see what the issue might have been with their promo. We appreciate the positive feedback despite that hiccup. Hope you and the family make it back again soon.
Glad you like the value La Quinta offers golfers and the friendliness of our staff. We'd like to invite you to provide any feedback details if you make it to Quail Valley again. Thank you.
Great
Great course! Awesome staff, Marshall, and cart lady! Will play again.
Thank you for coming from Cypress to play Quail Valley. We appreciate the compliments and hope you make it back more often since you're playing a few times a week.
Nice course, good value
Course is in great shape, layout is a little quirky and pace of play was a little slow, but it’s a great value.
Never hear "quirky" to describe La Quinta. We like to think of it as "classic". Anyway, thank you for coming out, dude.
Great course, great grounds, great staff, great pace
Many thanks. Hope we can earn the 5th star next time you're out.
Layout
Layout, the ninth hole is at the furthest distance from the clubhouse.
La Quinta is definitely an 'out, then back' course. Thank you for coming out from Brenham!
Nice layout
Very well groomed. Great amenities. Staff customer friendly. Starter and marshalls cool.
Many thanks and we hope you join us more often!
Great value
I found a $20.00 Golf Now round for this course and booked it. I have been wanting to play this course for some time since moving to Houston and I am glad I did. I was a single, so I was paired with a group of 3 and made a new group of friends. The course was in amazing shape, greens rolled well and the fairways were full. Sand condition was perfect ( I saw them as I was walking by not because I was playing out of them all day)
Overall a good round and course.
Glad you finally made it out, and hope you come back to play El Dorado too.
Quail Valley golfers paradise
Course layout is great.Course is in great condition. Staff is friendly. I enjoyed everything they have to offer. I highly recommend Quail Valley facility.
Many thanks for the praise!
La Quinta
Great twilight value at La Quinta.
Pace of play was tough, as there were two fivesomes in front of us. We ended up skipping two holes and it was clear sailing from there.
Course was long and in good condition. The raised greens were unique for the area and fun to play.
Definitely looking to coming back and to trying El Dorado!
Thank you for coming out. We're thrilled you liked the classic 'old school' layout with the elevated greens and sincerely appreciate your patience on what turned out to be a busy weekend despite the heat.
Wash board fairways
This course by far has some of the worst fairway conditions I have ever seen. It's like solid washboards all through the fairways especially on holes 10 and 11. Before we were through playing my back was definitely feeling the pain. Luckily after a good nights sleep my back was feeling better.
The game on its own is hard enough... you're a trooper with a sore back. Not sure if you are saying the firm fairways were an issue but they are indeed a little dry with this heat that just let up. Fall and winter conditions are here, so the course should adjust nicely. Nonetheless, hope you enjoyed your day here and will be back again. Thank you.
Great Course
I have played this course many times and it is always good fun. La Quinta is definitely an easier course than El Dorado but both are fun. Greens are always in good condition and the staff is second to none.
Worth it
Greens were not fast but were in great shape. For that matter, the course was well worth the money. The staff/marshals were friendly.
Thank you for playing La Quinta again. Look forward to having you back when the refurbished range opens back up.
Thank you and we sincerely appreciate you noticing the work in progress. We look forward to having you back!
