Landa Park Municipal Golf Course

This is my first time playing here and it was a pleasure. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I was added to an earlier group to complete a foursome and it was a good time.

The course layout is fun, we played from the gold tees and it was a distance that had me hitting 3 wood off the tee quote often. There are definitely risk/reward shots on the course and you will pay for a bad shot. The greens were in great shape and rolled true, they didn't have extreme breaks but the grain made a difference on the speed. Water and sand are in play through out the course and will get you into trouble if you are not careful.

One thing to be aware of is there is no driving range, which is OK, they have nets to warm up in and get some full swings in before the round. They have a short game and putting area to use and it had a nice distance for chipping and a bunker to hit out of.

I will be back to play this course again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to play.

My only criticism is the speed limiter on the carts and the auto shutoff if you exceed, your cart will shutdown for 2-3 seconds and then resume. You really have to pay attention to the GPS screen to make sure you are not put in the penelty box.

Had a great round, course is fantastic. The clubhouse staff is beyond reproach. Had misplaced my wallet, staff spent an hour helping me try and find it. Wasn’t able to locate but they located the wallet the following morning, and called me that they had found it. Much appreciated and thankful for their kindness, dedication and consideration.

Having played every golf course in San Antonio and surrounding areas. Landa has the best greens by far! This time of year fairways are firm so ball release is nuts. You’ll have an incredible experience playing single or with the squad.

Course conditions were great for winter time. Greens were great, but my putting sucked!

We have played this course a number of times in the past years and it is always in good shape.

It’s too bad that the fairways aren’t overseeded this year, as that was one of the draws to this course.

However the fairways are pretty good to hit off of.

1. great pace of play.

2. took the wrong directions several times, the triangles for arrows mislead us several times. Wish the arrows were bigger arrows instead of a triangle with a small arrow point.

3. No sign for the kitchen, had to walk around several times before we found it.

4. no sign for returning the carts, had to guess where to put them.

After 2 days of freezing temperatures, course reopen and was I was great condition. Staff as usual awesome specially Chris. Hoping more tee times be availability.

Although some muddiness, the course was quite playable for winter with no green grass. I was quite impressed with the condition of the greens. They were very fast but definitely in good condition. Keep up the good work on that. As for rating the weather, there were not enough choices to be accurate. It was a cool day and a jacket or sweater, I believe, were needed and so ""perfect"" overstates the description of what it was like.

Great course, nice clean fairways and greens. Great value for the price.
