About
Originally opened in 1938 as a nine-hole course, Landa Park Golf Course has since expanded by 52 acres in 1969 to make it an 18-hole course. Although it is on the shorter side, the golf course is still entertaining for golfers of all skill levels. Bordering the Comal River, there are some water hazards coming into play on the course. The fairways are wide and there are not many difficult approach shots, making it a more player-friendly golf course. Landa Park Golf Course features small, undulating greens and there are mature trees lining the fairways. Although it is fairly forgiving, Landa Park does have some challenges, including the lengthy par-5 fourth hole that stretches over 550 yards.

Clubhouse Staff Top Notch
Lost my receipt from counter (which had staffers name). Checked in at 1:50pm Jul 16th 2021. Prepaid for a twosome, 3rd player had internet problems which didn’t permit him to reserve same time as us. Explained our situation to front desk staffer. He went beyond the call, to fit us all In together. Really great customer service, being that we had driven up from San Antonio. Course in Great Shape Tee to Green!

Best municipal course in the hill country
This is my home course. It is in excellent shape. I have played almost every municipal course in the hill country and Landa beats them all, hands down.

Pace of play
Never saw a marshal on the course. Had a group of 5 in front of us. Slow as molasses. Took 5 additional holes after we caught up to them til they let us play through. Need some help from the marshals as this was not the first time I’ve come across this issue.

Landa Park is always in good condition
Landa Park is always in good condition. The only downside today was we caught up to a group of old men who were extremely slow on the back nine. Landa Park might use Marshalls to speed up the pace of play.

Fun course
I’ve been playing this course since before the remodel. I’d say the course itself is in excellent condition compared to years past. Pace of place is definitely slow, but that’s mainly because this course attracts a lot of beginner golfers. No on course Marshall past the first tee, load up on drinks before you tee off because you’ll be lucky to see the beverage cart, Short course a few drivable par 4s, I’d suggest playing from the tips if you’re a better than average golfer (not that big of a difference on this course), can easily be played without a driver, greens are nice but don’t role true, best bet it to just take every putt at the hole. It’s a fun course, wide open, good bank for your buck for sure.
