About
Originally opened in 1938 as a nine-hole course, Landa Park Golf Course has since expanded by 52 acres in 1969 to make it an 18-hole course. Although it is on the shorter side, the golf course is still entertaining for golfers of all skill levels. Bordering the Comal River, there are some water hazards coming into play on the course. The fairways are wide and there are not many difficult approach shots, making it a more player-friendly golf course. Landa Park Golf Course features small, undulating greens and there are mature trees lining the fairways. Although it is fairly forgiving, Landa Park does have some challenges, including the lengthy par-5 fourth hole that stretches over 550 yards.

Glad I Didn't Pay More
Although I played this course within a few days of a course of severe weather across Texas, the course conditions were much worse than other courses in this same area that took the care to protect their course conditions. Additionally, it was clear that the course management was attempting to recover the loss of business very quickly by putting out too many golfers on the course. There was at least two five-somes within my view as I played. It will be quite some time before I return to play on this course, if at all.

Short Course
Course is not for the long ball hitter. Had some slow pace players, a five some in front of us.
Course itself was in pretty good shape.

Lots of wildlife
Best course we played during our four days of golf in the San Antonio area. Best value we found for the money. Lots of wildlife along the course.

This course is outstanding. The staff was great and the course was in amazing shape. Playing in early February you’d think they all the grass would be dead or dying. Not here. They take pride in the course and it shows.
