Landa Park Municipal Golf Course

Great little course.....short, but challenging.

Been playing Landa Park for almost a year now and the course conditions have never been better especially the greens! I always try to get out in 1 of the first 3 or 4 groups. And there are minimal delays so we're normally done in 3 to 3.5 hours.

Course is in great shape. Social distancing in place and for the most part works. Fairways and greens are in excellent shape

The course was nice all things considered. Would recommend to anyone.

Course was in great shape well maintained, our only issue is the lack of signage on the tee boxes. We had only played here I think one other time but it seems like each time we get turned around on the location of hole 9 where u have to go back across the street after a playing 7 and 8 I believe. With no signage on the individual tee boxes we accidentally played hole 11 as 9 then realized as we were walking up to 12. That was a little frustrating and a long walk to get back on track.

Landa Park is a diamond in the rough! First time playing and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Everyone was walking vs carts and I do think that made you really take the course in. Lots of water, elevation change, and challenging but fair shots. Course was in excellent shape.

Played this nice little public track in the heart of New Braunfels. Late in November 2019 I attended the Wurstfest Festival in NB. Walking to the festival grounds we walked past the course. It piqued my interest, and a few months later on a rainy Monday, me and a friend were able to play. It was actually surprisingly busy, with many groups of retirees clogging up the tee sheet! So we bought down the average age of our playing group, but we enjoyed the company of our playing partners.

From various points about the course you can see the Wurstfest grounds (currently being rebuilt) and the Schlitterbarn.

The course is very nicely maintained, and the green fairways look nice against the straw colored rough areas (I guess it depends on your opinion on over-seeding here!). A little misleading though as the actual landing areas are much larger than the green fairways indicate. The greens were pretty hard and true to putt on and receptive to spin. The also had some tricky slopes that looked like remodelling had been done recently. I quite enjoyed the 2nd hole where a 3 wood/long iron leaves you a 80-90 yard pitch across the Comal river to "Pecan Island". The par 5 4th also has a similar carry for your approach to that green.

We walked the course, while our playing partners used a cart. The course is not perfect for walking as there are several road crossings, and at one point we took a shortcut and crossed some railway lines.

Nice putting green, but no driving range. There are 3 hitting nets that you can warm up your swing in.

Overall really enjoyed driving down from Austin to play here, will definitely be back!

I played this golf course from January 3 to March 14/2020. I was planning to play till April 8th, which was the scheduled time to depart for home in Canada, due to the Coronna virus I left for home a few days ago. Just wanted to thank all the staff for providing excellent customer service and allowing me to feel at home. I really enjoyed the course with all its exciting holes that challenge you! Special thanks to “Cy”!!

Fairways and tee boxes were thick and green. The greens were aerated and sanded which made putting a little challenging.Overall, nice day on the course until the rains came. We did not find any on course shelters for the rain. We got soaked.

Greens were beautiful, staff friendly and helpful - great day and course for a round of golf. I’lol be back again.
