About
Iron Horse Golf Course is laid out in the floodplain of Fossil Creek, an area loaded with woods and a railroad that divides the property into three tracts. When Dick Phelps designed the golf course he loaded it with par 4s that are over 400 yards. This track has only two par 5s, but you'll get your money's worth as they are virtually impossible to reach in two. Iron Horse's best hole is the 462-yard, par-4 third hole, which is generally a bogey hole for the average golfer.

putting heaven
may a 94' foot putt on #9 for a birdie , had an 88' at white bluff , but I believe this is the longest!!! had 27 putts for the round, rolling GOOD!!!
GPS mapping of cart restrictions is a little too much. Cart shut down on cart path. Said restricted area.
Overpriced and Layout of Course
The layout of the course is not good. It doesn't take you back to the club house after 9 holes. The cart lady only works 9 of the holes. It was 18 to 10, never seen her on 1 through 9. The course had some fairways that were not in good shape. It's just overpriced for the experience

Terrific Golf course,although l didnt play well
I meet this Great golfer named Conner who had an AMAZING game, he was friendly and humble a Joy to play with.He was long off the tee and sharp with his irons.

Much Improved, Much Fun
First time playing since the renovation. The changes are good. Still a bit of a quirky layout, i.e. not my favorite. But it is fun and worth it if you can find a good price in GolfNow.
Nice after rains
Tee boxes finally softer! No need for a hammer today. A few holes on the back nine where it appears the grass washed away or some sort of issue happened. Not awful, looks like they are actively working on it. Worst part are the cart restrictions. Hole 15 is impossible to leave the cart path. No reason for the hole to be cart path only. It is a par 4. Only one side has a path, turn OFF the restrictions mode on the carts!
Strange Round
Top 3 worst golf outings in awhile. Courses Management really went downhill since parting from Arcis. First time I’ve ever played 18 holes without any flagsticks…when asked about flags, was told they wanted to go home early so they brought in everything…mid Labor Day weekend….
To add on top of that, was told by workers not to go in clubhouse after teeing off otherwise they wouldn’t let us play anymore…just very odd/underwhelming experience.
Hot day but broke 90
With temps around 104 it was brutal for an old man.
Course was in very good condition considering they have had little to no rain in over 2 months. Greens were in excellent shape.
A couple of tee boxes were hard making it difficult to get tee in ground.
Cart girl seemed to be more interested in whoever she was talking to on the phone. Did stop once, but passed us two previous times while chatting on the phone. Inside staff very friendly.
Course is a little pricey unless you get a hot deal.
Definitely will return.
Highlight of the day was breaking 90 for the first time on this course. 87 with no triples and no 3 putts.
Great Course
It was my first time playing at Iron Horse and I enjoyed it. The course is a good condition and the layout was fun and challenging. The GPS tracking carts that tell you you’re distance from the pin are nice as well.

Loved the buy a draft in cents for the score shot special.
I shot a 94. The Beer was then .94 cents.
The Greens and fairways were in great shape.
Must take a lot of water to keep them up in all the 100 degree heat. A very fun day on the course !
