Great views and the fairways and tee boxes were awesome, I can't wait to go back.

It seems that the course is really starting to slide downhill. I notice that there seems to be less & less work being done on the course. The sand traps should be just filled and seed over them because they are not being cared for and they don't drain well at all.
You will find out that the locals, many who play for free due to politics get to go out ahead of your tee times and the desk staff might as well be a rock laying in a field. Frankly there needs to be some huge changes in the way things are run up there. It could easily be the #1 course in the sate if the money was put into taking care of the course.

I called the pro shop and they said that nobody was playing, and that the temperature was 29. They talked
like they were going to close down, or already had, so
we didn't go. It was too cold to play for us anyhow, but I sure wanted to. It cost $34 and change, but I can't afford to let my preacher get sick, I can't preach!

Only one disappointment I have. It cost me $10.00 to book on golfnow. The price was $42.00 per golfer. . Regular price was $48.00 per golfer. So it ended up costing me $52.00 to play. I should not have used golfnow and just went straight to course and paid there and saved some money!

inch & half of rain in 15 mins, needless to say I have to re-schedule

The course was still wet from all the re-occurring that Eastern Kentucky has had from the last two weeks. The bunkers were out of play, and the course was cart path only. However, it is still the best course in this part of the state. Even a bad day here is better than the best day at a course 15 or 20 miles north. The greens were almost as fast as on a drier day, the fairways were manicured nicely. Only a few wet spots to contend with.

StoneCrest golf course is the best course in the Eastern Section of Kentucky. It is worth the drive, the scenery is great, several holes are very challenging yet playable. Course is always in good condition and greens are moderately fast.

The course had been hit with more than 3" of rain just 5 days ago and the sand bunkers had flooded and washed badly, they were being repaired. Fairways had been mowed wet and had grass chunks everywhere. Greens were aerated just before rain and recovering nicely. This is a breath taking course when at it's best, cart paths in bad need of repair, a long tough course with challenges at every tee. Recommend it to anyone.

16 of us traveled 1 1/2 hours to play this course and is still the best course to play with very fast greens. We try to play at least 3 times per year and have never been disappointed.Tough but fair course for the best of golfers or the worst. Everyone always treat us great. We will return .

After purchasing hot deal form Golf Now drove a
little over two hours on a beautiful Wednesday
morning. It was well worth the drive. Great views,
wildlife in the fairways, great conditions, and a very
friendly starter. Could not have had a better day.
Course is challenging but fair. Fast greens caused
too many three putts but that was my fault. If I had one complaint, some of the sand bunkers
did not match the conditions of the rest of the
course. A must play course for anyone within a
a few hours drive.

Beautiful mountain top course with holes being laid out perfectly and a lot of elevation changes. Greens are large and in perfect condition and regardless of position you always have confidence if making putts.

Great course, was able to get off early, a plus;
Course was cart path only for half the round which is hard for seniors as greens and fairways are a distance from cart paths.

On a dry day it's one of the best.

Played on a rainy Sunday ( cart path only) which made it a little harder, because of big fairways and very wet course. This is the best kept course I have every been on. Great fairways even when wet and big well kept greens. Tee's were in great shape. I will return when it is dry and try again. This course is like the one you see on TV, never a bad lye in the fairway. Friendly staff always trying to help and giving advise when asked. Can't wait to go back.

This is a great course. Being a reclaimed surface coal mine it only shows what we here in the mountains already know. Mountaintop removal makes places for commerce that we couldn't have without it. This course is a gem for us in eastern Kentucky and it is well maintained and is always beautiful. The fairways are in always in excellent shape and the greens roll pretty fast. If your haven't played this course it worth the drive to check it out.

Am disable carts on path only that day they could have open some holes but they didn't . It is what it is. I know not to go when it may be cart path only
