Great course
Course was in excellent condition, tight fairways and lots of hazards so a good challenge-staff super friendly
Good course
Played this course earlier in the week. Really interesting course and really nicely laid out. Fairways and greens good. One little grumble guys, bit too much bird muck on the course. Bit frustrating if you play a decent shot and find yourself in the middle of it with no way to play!! Overall though good and would play again.
Great Course
Seen the sign many times for this course then when it popped up on Golf Now thought me and my friends would give it a go! Greens were superb although bone dry due to the weather, general layout was very nice ! Definitely be back as only local !
Review
Course in great condition, not an easy course with plenty of water and tight fairways. Easy to walk..
Off the course the Guinness & Club sandwich was special..
We willl be back
This course is true test very scenic and it is definitely thinking course
From moment arrived very friendly lady in pro shop very helpful told me where tee was asked me been before
Every hole is very very good greens bit slow but that's understandable so well looked after all bunkers great condition
Good course, greens need serious work
Played here a few times as I really like the course and it's always quiet during the week days. Overall layout is good with plenty chances to make birdies...especially on the short par 4's and 5's. No short par 3's so they're more of a challenge. Only downsides are the course is still a bit wet and ball collects mud easily so winter rules are still in play and the greens are not great at all, very patchy, bobbly and bare in places. I've played muni courses with far better greens tbh. Nice course on a sunny day though
Weather
Have played the course several times in the summer excellent BUT the weather and condition of the course spoilt it, plus my battery failed on the 15 not a good day coffee and bacon batch spot on, woukd come again in the summer cheers
Challenging course with many tricky holes
This is a fairly long and flat course with fairways that require a bit more accuracy off the tee than we had! There's quite a lot of water to avoid as well. The 3 pars are particularly challenging. We played the course a day after a downpour and while the fairways were well cut it was very sticky. The greens weren't in best condition either. Despite that we could see the potential of the course and will visit again when the course has had chance to dry out and recover.
It’s grown up.
Was a member of Aldersey when still in school so well over 20 years ago. Then it struggled with drainage and the trees where mostly babies. Fast forward 20 years (and a massive break from golf) played great for time of year and the little trees are now massive! Only downside is greens are a little bobbly.

My first time here and what a pleasure it was to play the course. Aesthetically pleasing even in the depths of winter and in great condition. One’s first impression is of a club that is well run with courteous staff and very reasonable fees for visitors. Bunkers are mercifully few but the beautiful water hazards will swallow you up like a ravenous woman should you dare to flirt with them. I can’t wait to take that risk again.
Good round of golf
This was the first time playing here and we really enjoyed it. Not the longest course but the narrowness of the fairways made it a challenge. Also the water traps are really well placed to catch u out. Getting boggy in some places but that's to be expected this time of year. Only payed £10 on golf now but already looking forward to going back in the summer and paying full price.
Best condition in the area
Absolutely stunning course it’s nice and flat so you’re not shattered by the end of it. Greens and fairways Al were spot on, tee boxes need a little bit of work but not enough to worry about. Nice layout and easy to figure out. Greens were quick and spot on I will be back
