Frost, snow rain

A miserable day and course had taken a lot of rain previous 48 hrs but played OK, proper winter golf conditions but still enjoyed playing this course. A good test, interesting greens and friendly staff, will have another round in warmer weather.

Decent

We played there yesterday and the course was in good nick. Clubhouse was closed up but not the end of the world. Would definitely play here again.

Not great

Very confusing layout on hole two and the hills are to much. Was told it’s an 18 hole on the phone and it turned out to be 9 played twice

Very nice course

This course was very well laid out and enjoyable to play, the only issue was that some of the greens were very sandy and bobbly. Rest of the course very well maintained.

Fun round in the wet

Challenging course with 5 holes in the valleys and 4 on the plateau - Braid design is classic with mature trees.

Great welcome, thank you, and for the guidance around the course.

Fun atmosphere in the clubhouse with many locals.

C19 stuff is all in hand.

Very friendly club

I played 18 holes and was greeted by a very friendly chap who explained the unusual course layout - 9 holes but 18 tees in slightly different positions to make it more intetesting. The holes can be a little confusing but it was fine when they were explained. A good mix of holes but the terrain is not for the feint hearted. The course is in good condidition with firm greens. It has some very steep hills so be prepared for a good workout. Overall a very enjoyable round.

A nice course with friendly staff. Quiet hilly so you need to be fit and the layout can be confusing. Still an enjoyable experience

Greens in poor nick ruined enjoyment of the round, but otherwise well worth a try

This is a nine hole course, but to make it 18 they have a second tee for each hole in a slightly different position - a clever idea.

Course isn't flat so gives your legs a nice work-out while enjoying the countryside.

When I teed off at 12, there was no-one about in the clubhouse, but as I'd booked through teeofftimes (£10 inc. booking fee), I had no problem getting started.

Course is a nice enough challenge for a moderate golfer...but greens were covered in sand and made putting and chipping a frustrating experience...the ball and putter had to be constantly cleaned at each hole, but it made judging pace of shots very difficult.

It was very quiet so was able to get round quickly and the price was very good, so I'd still recommend giving it a try.

Great Nine Hole Course with friendly members and staff

From the friendly welcome when you arrive, from one of three lovely ladies, to the beer and sandwiches when you finish it is a great experience.

The course has 18 tees which on many holes make it a totally different hole. The greens are a good putting challenge and fairways are perfect to play off. Nice to see the rough is under control so you are punished for a bad shot but invariably can find your ball and.play out.

Beautiful countryside and layout of the course seems at times you are the only one out there. Great value.

Buggies are also available of you don't fancy walking. Stunning third hole which is about 180 yards par 3 and it is worth coming to play this hole on its own.
