The Courses at Watters Creek - Traditions Course

Great course for the money. From tee to green the course is in good condition. Great practice facility. My one complaint are the courses rules on the chipping area. I was yelled at for hitting range balls. The staff told me it was because no one picks them up. Sorry, but since I was 16 and started playing golf (26 years ago) Ive never heard of a course that either yelled at me or didn't allow range balls on a practice area.... here's a hint: get one of the cart boys to pick up balls and treat customers with a little more respect.

If you only have time for a couple rounds, I suggest you play here twice. It is fun and challenging and you will have a better idea where to hit the ball the second time to avoid some unforeseen trouble. There are a few spots on the course where you can't see the best spot to hit to.

The course was in great shape. Greens were quick and true. Some easy holes and some challenging ones. For the average golfer it was a good test.

No marshal's controlling speed of play, it took me 3.5 hours to play 10 holes, ridiculous.

Interesting Front Nine, with a few blind holes. Basic Back Nine. Great condition. More trees than you expect on most Texas public courses. It was good value. I will return!

Normally I have good things to say about this place but yesterday was a disaster. I went off at around 1PM and there was no starter to keep the groups even and moving on time. Second there was no marshal to keep things from stacking up. By the time my group got to the 13th hole there were two groups waiting in front of us with another 2 behind us all waiting to tee off. At this point I said screw it and went in for the day. This is the second time this has happened and I dont think ill be back. its not worth the time or the money.

Excellent condition for this time of year. Staff helpful. Wish I had gotten there early enough to use their excellent practice facilities

First time playing even though i live 3 miles away. Nice layout. Greens and fairways in great condition.

Course drained well from the recent rains. I never ran in to any casual water. I'm not sure if it was the wet fairways or if the course played a little longer than the numbers. I'm only a 250-260 driver of the ball, but I had a lot of 5 & 4 irons into greens. I'd like to play again when the fairways are more dry to see if that holds up.

No restroom facilities on entire course except to return to clubhouse. Also, no refreshment cart service was available during entire course play.

It was really hot. Us seniors pushing 70 should really not be playing from white tees. Always love the course except for #6!! Thought it was going to be cooler this week. I'm getting a job as a weatherman. They take a Mulligan every day!!

The course continues to mature nicely and the greens are rolling great. The course is really a tale of two 9's, the front is challenging with a collection of holes that requires precision whereas the back plays very easy from 10 through 15 before a strong stretch of 16-18 to finish your round. Really a good value for public golf in the Metroplex

I liked this course for many reasons. Condition was great, greens were great and since I played alone in a middle of the day the pace was good. I had a good score. Not too difficult but interesting. Will definitely play again and recommend.
