The Courses at Watters Creek - Traditions Course

Great course in great shape. Enjoyed the layout of the course. Great for all levels of golfers. Will be back!

Reasonably good course to play. There were no marshalls out on the course keeping play on pace.

The sixth hole needs a re-design to keep the flow of play going as only a perfect tee shot enable the golf to go for the green in two shots. This hole is always congested with two and three groups waiting on the tee box while those playing the hole are either looking for golf balls or hitting punch shots back to the fair so they can hit onto the green.

The sand traps need maintenance desperately. They looked like they hadn't been fully raked in a long time. Several bunkers had about a 1/4 inch of sand in the bottom and then wet hard pack underneath.

Greens need water to help them hold a little better. Very hard and fast with many bumps around the cups. Every cup is on a mound made when the greenskeeper pulls up the grass to make a new cup. They never tamp the new hole down flat, but always leave the cup on a mound.

Had a great time here. Fairways and greens were in terrific shape. Pace of play was excellent.

Once again this course was a joy. It is well maintained and the conditions were very good. There were slow pace periods as expected on the more difficult holes. on Friday afternoons I recommend getting a tee time no later than 2:30pm.

Beautiful weather and course was packed on a Thursday afternoon. Greens were fast and course was in terrific shape. It is my favorite course in the area.

Course was great, and laid out well. Has some good challenges along the way to make it interesting. The group in front of us was holding us up and the 3 groups behind us due to pace of play. We asked the Marshall to ask them to speed up, but nothing really changed. Just made the round longer than it would have been, but other than that it was a great experience.

Watters Creek is a fun, challenging, well maintained course. The greens were in great shape - fast and true. It is well worth the drive to play this course!

It was my first time playing the course, it's in really good shape. The fairways were very clean and the greens very true. Pace was a little slow once we caught the group in front, but it was only the last few holes. Will be going back again for sure

Found this course on GolfNow, what a great time! The front nine winds through elevation changes and the creek. You would never know you're in the middle of Allen here - and if you've got the distance to play one of the back tees, there's a couple great tee shots through a "chute" on hole 6 and 9. Try it out!

First time playing The Traditions, and it was a blast. Greens were in great shape and rolled much faster than I gave them credit for on more than one occasion - Can't wait to come back and try out the new greens on the back 9 in just a few weeks.

I played the first 9 holes of The Traditions course. It was a great experience. The course is challenging, but fair. The turf was in great condition from tee to green, including rough. The greens held shots, rolled smooth and had a reasonable pace. If the back 9 is anything like the front, I can't wait to play 18 holes here. Lastly, The Courses at Watters Creek could have the best practice facility in North Texas.

Course layout bad. Finished front nine in the middle of the course. They had a concession stand but wasn't open. Had to get to #13 to be close enough to clubhouse to get more refreshments. Hole 16 and 17 had terrible temp greens. Not good for the money.

Beautiful course and layout. Good conditions overall minus the two temp greens on 16th and 17th, the pro shop failed to mention it to us...hmmmmm.

I'm a competitive golfer. I strive to be under par every round I play.

3 of the greens are in fairways.

Just a joke and it should be shut down. great for people that suck because they may find it fun and hilarious.

Used to play the course all the time. Needless to say, I will not be coming back.

Very impressed with this course! One of the best muni courses in the DFW area! Worth the trip!

Course was in good shape. I was a little disappointed that no one mentioned that 14, 15, and 16 had temporay greens. Overall the course was in good shape, and the staff was friendly....

Great, challenging course. Can't hit driver off of most tees. Greens were in excellent shape. Pace of play was terrible, waiting on almost every shot. My tee time was 9:20 but didn't get to tee off until 9:50. Great driving range and short game area for practice.

It was my birthday so my wife booked us to play at Watter Creek. The Marshall who started us off was so nice with some helpful tips before we teed off. It was raining in the beginning but we didn't care! The pair we were matched with were very nice also. The only thing that was a negative was that they were working on two greens and the people working kept driving by on loud carts full of dirt and had no worries of anyone golfing or if they were trying to hit a shot, etc when they drove by. They went back and forth by us at least 6 times. Also the two holes that they are working on/re-doing they have made the "greens" in the middle of the fairway (not ideal) and the holes are enlarged!

What they failed to mention are holes 16 & 17 are under repair and therefore unplayable. We should've been given a price break on that. Probably another couple weeks maybe a month before it's playable in my opinion. Otherwise the course was in great playing conditions.
