A great parkland wooded course
Great quirky course. A mixture of fairly open holes with well placed traps and tight woodland holes with lots of trees as the danger. You have to really think about ball placement as slopes can land a good hit into a tricky spot.
I’d recommend it to ant golfer, there’s a challenge for everyone
18 holes great !!!
Considering the recent weather conditions the course was in excellent condition.
Great value for money
First time playing at the course , had a couple of coffees and a cob before teeing off cheap as chips and generous portion,
Course short but great layed out holes very challenging for iron play , was slow paced but got talking with members it was due to a winter competition and big hitters waiting for the greens to clear , but they said it was not normally slow .
Overall great friendly staff , challenging course and definitely will be visiting again
Nice little course
Quite a pretty course with some challenging holes, could do with a few more par 5s, not something easily achieved but will play again.
Enjoyable Golf
Enjoyable golf on a mild November afternoon, Friendly staff in club shop, nice dry conditions underfoot, fairways a little patchy in places but greens in excellent condition, The first four holes are quite tricky, not overly long but no margin for error left or right, After that it widens out making things a little easier, would happily return
Challenging course
Ample parking on arrival, friendly staff at the check in with some good advice on the course, 1st tee uphill of which set the theme of the day, plenty of hills and well thought out holes, really gets you thinking, a few tight fairways with bunkers and water hazards, nice large pond outside the clubhouse with a few large koi all adds to the relaxing atmosphere, will return again.
Fair to the average golfer
Played Bewdley Pines for £20 which is very reasonable by any standards. Greens were immaculate and true. Holes 2 - 6 are testing so unless you like losing balls probably best to play conservatively. After the 6th the course opens out with wide fairways, although there are quite a few par 4's over 400 yards. Only one short par 3, the14th.
Played on my own with a 2pm tee off and did not get held up until the 15th when I got stuck behind 4 ball using buggies!!
I like Bewdley Pines, a well organised venue where the course isn't too hard on high handicappers such as me.
Terrible temporary holes
Due to green maintenance 15 out of 17 greens were not playable (one hole not playable at all).
Normally temporary green are acceptable however in this instance they were terrible.
In many cases they were many metres away from the actual green and simply holes in the main fairway.
Having never played here before this made it very difficult to know where to go for the next tee.
Information should have been made aware before booking on GolfNow and the full facts given when arriving at the course.
Great course
One of my favourite courses currently, great value, first 4 holes are really tough but the rest is very score-able, greens in great condition and nice par 3 18th down towards the club
Interesting
Very interesting short course which is much better than a long boring one. Holes that make you think. Was very busy the day we played would ring in advance and check beforehand next time
Slow
Took nearly 3 hours to get to the turn, gave up half way through.
Beautiful setting
Challenging course with the dry conditions and narrow fairways. Enjoyable day out
