Little Lakes
Fairways were not cut suspect for a week apparently machine issues but still allowed to book on Golf Now with no warning. They should have removed from Golf Now until fairways sorted. Even the members were complaining.
Friendly course with some nicely shaped holes
Good day out and very nice walk on very pleasant course rather hidden away behind a caravan park. Greens very true though very small so hard targets. Fairways very lush but understandable given time of year. Really need a course planner as lots of par fours where position and distance knowledge very important. As others have said layout is confusing in places - particularly 10th - more signs required! Would definitely play again and probably best value course I've played in a long time
Shocking pace of play
Played Little Lakes a few times over the years and always enjoyed it as it’s a bit of a hidden gem in Worcestershire. But played today and the pace of play was awful, took us over 4 hours to play 14 holes. We ended up walking off the course as it was taking that long. Would of been over 5 hours to play 18 holes if we’d of carried on playing. Unacceptable.
Take plenty of balls
This course has potential. It is very hilly, your calves will take a battering if you walk 18. There are so many blind shots, you could think you’ve hit a pearler and it will be a lost ball. We played in what should be peak conditions but the fairways were not cut, greens were decent in fairness, very quick.
The tenth hole is a joke, we played it down the wrong fairway because it’s not clearly described, if you’re reading this and you’re playing the course, it goes around to the left.
All in all not bad value for money, not one I’ll be going back to personally but not the worst I’ve ever played.
Little lakes 22/4/22
2 of my friends and played a four ball today. As we were on the tee a pleasant gentleman asked if we wouldn’t Mind him joining which we agreed. He said that the greens were lovely but unfortunately their single mover had broke so the fairways were long. Winter rules were permitted for this so not totally a disaster. Some bunkers were out of play but we felt the course just needs a tidy up. The greens were nice but very firm and the tee boxes were long but all in all a nice course for the £15 we payed
Interesting
Greens were in great condition
A good walk but worth it
Lost our way on the tenth but the lady captain put us right
Some really interesting holes
Lots of trees
We’ll definitely be back
Course attached to holiday site with no Golf shop or Pro.
The course is ok but no evidence of green keepers maintaining the course hence there are leaves everywhere hence we lost many balls even straight ones. The course has no Golf Pro so on arrival you just advise the cleaner or bar staff that you have arrived. Staff encountered particularly one women was toffee nosed and unwelcoming and quite honestly after encountering her will not be returning to this course. Other courses in my opinion in the area such as Wharton Park and Bewdley Pines are way better anyway - they have pros, golf shops and nice bars so would defintley recommend these above this course. Played at top course i.e. The Belfrey etc and have have been welcomed - this course should take a leaf out of their book - how to address and speak to people in the correct manner (they have enough of them on Little Lakes Golf Course)!!
Nice!
Nice course, VERY hilly though, I would recommend getting a cart, greens were in superb condition
Fantastic
What a great course!
Very very very challenging and a lot of thinking of placement.
Small and sometimes hard to access greens and possibly the best, fastest i have played. If you do not get it right....bye bye ball.
If you hit the rough you will know about it they are ROUGH
Played for the first time this morning and I will be back.
Overall 4/5
Little lakes
I have to say I love the course, it is not the longest but makes up for that with game management. There are many holes with a risk and reward scenario. Unfortunately though trying to get a scorecard isn’t easy as you have to go into the bar. Waited there to check in for a few minutes and ended up going out to play without seeing any staff.
Great day out
Great course would recommend a buggy, very hilly and tee can be spaced out, but worth every penny, I WILL BE BACK
Stormy round
Enjoyable round but got cancelled before completing due to thunder and lightening
Over booked
The course itself was nice, but we were waiting 20 minutes per hole due to how over booked the course was, we skipped 6 holes as I’d still be waiting now a day later, utterly disappointing.
Come on England
Excellent round of golf. Surprisingly quiet, but very relaxing. Course was in very good condition. Great way to prepare for the England game this evening.
The course
The course was in poor condition and has been getting worse over the last 18 months.
