Wharton Park Golf Club

The course is in really good condition for the time of year and offers a fair challenge for all golfers.

Played on 27.09.26 myself and my friend Mr Alan Mason had played this course before, around three years ago, my friend has not been a fan of the course but I suggested we should return given the change of ownership recently, it seems investment has gone into the pro shop / range / hotel side but not the course yet, to me a strange choice of priority? However I like the course, and apart from some recent spiking tge greens were reasonable if not great, however clearly in spite of this investment they are missing a trick to my mind, we like to have a hot meal ideally before teeing off, and club has a five option phone system, but the only one working seemed to be the pro shop! I searched their website for the menu to see what meals were on offer? Nothing on there at all, says call the club? well this didn’t work as that option simply cuts the phone call off, I ended up at the local cafe in Bewdley nearby for lunch, so come on Wharton park! I want to tell people they should play this course because it’s quiet and varied holes, the greens are good and it’s easy to get round.

Plenty of dog legs and valleys to negotiate and some short holes that are challenging.

It deserves to be busier and I hope in time it will be, I’ll certainly be back

All the previous reviews of friendliness are spot on! All the staff we saw were really helpful and friendly as were the members/players. Course is long but open and in good condition. Greens had just been hollow tined but still fairly playable. Fully recommend the course and will return.

We booked this course last minute, and even with the recent weather the course was in good condition, especially the greens! the course was brilliant. Challenging and the views are breathtaking. Members are very friendly, and to be fair I can’t wait to go back! Great course and fairly priced!

Lovely course although long for a lady golfer and no loo facilities half way round 😭, shack was shut when we got in so there was no to hand in our buggy key, no real pro shop and was a bit miffed there were no ball markers as I collect from each course I play, would love to go back though and it's well worth a visit

I played on Saturday with a friend.

First time on the course. The course was great , really challenging and well maintained.

The clubhouse and stafff were most helpful and will definatley be back.

This course has everything, pleasure to play here!

First time playing the course. The layout and the conditions on the course were good considering the lack of rain we’ve had. I ended up joining a 3 ball due to both me and the group being held up the 2 groups infront. Eventually having to jump a few holes to get ahead and complete the round.

So only played 16 of 18 holes in the end .

Challenging course with varied terrain. Drives are key on this course.

Great course with some fairly unique layouts , worth 4hours of any golfers time , highly recommended

Managed to get a morning tee time at £25 each.

Interesting course lay out with some fantastic par 3s. Undulating course requires extra care with club selection.

Fairways were slightly brown and bare, but expected due to lack of rainfall, however green were immaculate!

Can't recall a round that beats this on value for money.

A well maintained course with some very difficult pin positions!

The whole course was in perfect condition, even good for losing the odd ball! Tees also in great positions!
