First time at Bicester
A tricky but enjoyable test. Accuracy is key here with the rough proving quite punishing at times. Very sloppy greens take some skill to play on and several pins were very well hidden. Given its proximity to the M40 a touch noisy at times but the course is in excellent condition and worth another visit for certain.
Excellent Golf Course.
Excellent and very well maintained Golf Course. Enjoyed the 12th Signature hole in particular across the lake!
Unfortunately was not able to complete our round on this occasion due to fading light but will most certainly try again very soon if possible.
Thank You Bicester Golf
Bicester 2
We were lucky with the weather for the round, but it had belted down the day before - ok couple of puddlles and some soft areas, but course was fully open and playable. Very enjoyable round !
Enjoyable course
This course was fun to play with challenges for all abilities. As a high handicapper it was challenging but not enough to put me off playing the course. Quiet when I played on a Monday afternoon but on other occasions when playing at busier times speed of play has been fine.
Disappointing
Having not played this course for several years, the anticipation of returning was high.
Visited the putting green only to find four people showing poor etiquette by chipping onto it form off the green. Moved off and the course was busy, but desperately slow. Biggest disappointment was the greens. Complete lottery on every putt. Asked by son in law, would you come back tomorrow for a fiver?
His reply, “not if they paid me the fiver”
Sums it up really
Outstanding condition
Having played here before Lockdown I expected the course to be much the same as it was back in March....how wrong was I.
The course is in outstanding condition, tee boxes are tidy and moved regularly, the fairways are well maintained and you get plenty of roll, whilst the greens are just perfect. For £25 on a Sunday afternoon this is amazing value and even tho play was slightly slow (due to lots of groups but you can easily see why) I will be back as soon as I can.
lasagne portions !
Nice round. The food in the bar was pretty poor - lasagne portions were so small.
Bicester Golf Course
I really enjoyed the day . The layout is good and the condition is fair. Unfortunately the greens were hollow tyned so they were very bumpy.
Nice course but poor condition
Nice course, but wasn’t in great condition. The fairways weren’t that defined and greens recently spiked and quite bumpy. But nice layout and would like to play again when in better condition
Challenging course, Greens in superb nick
Cracking challenge. The front 9 plays quite long and the back 9 shorter but both require accuracy and good technical ability with bunkers and water in strategic places. However, the greens were the real highlight as they were in superb condition and played very quick. Lots of undulations, levels and pins placed in tricky areas. Single handicappers can expect a few three-putts out there.
Great course for the money - superb greens
Some very "interesting" water on the back 9 !
