Great value
First time playing this course and 100% will be re visiting thoroughly enjoyed our round course is in good condition and it is a well designed course with some challenging holes.
bicester golf club
the holes good and long but fairways had amount
of patches and needed repair
I played well course was had amounts of golf
persons playing but not many
The club house was very good a clean + pro
was very good
Will play a again in the summer
Not looked after
Course was in really poor condition, looks like they need to invest a little more time and money.
The tee time we booked through tee times could not be honoured by the club....not even an apology given. Bit of a let down really much better courses out there for less money.
Nice course, slow play!
Turned up early and the guy in the pro shop let me straight out. Friendly members and quite chatty. Two really slow groups in front who took 4-5 holes to let me through but the course is in good condition and has a good challenge in store. On my list to play again in the near future.
Its OK but not remarkable
I've played this course a number of times, it is the closest one to home, so convenient. Unfortunately it is very flat, & apart from a couple of tricky holes on the back 9 is fairly mundane & extremely forgiving for the most part
On the plus side it is kept in good nick, the greens are true & the staff always friendly. Unfortunately the bar is expensive for food & drinks, but it is part of a Hotel & Spa so to be expected I suppose.
Its OK for a quick knock, but I doubt I would consider it if I had to travel.
Disappointing
I was very disappointed in Bicester.. First, the technology ought to make it possible to see who else is playing. In my case I was slap behind a 17-strong society group - the final group had ZERO sense of ettiquette. The fell well behind the match in front. I waited on almost every shot. Yet still seeing me waiting, they stood on the green, arguing the toss. Taking 10 minutes to look for a ball (which had clearly gone in the water) is unacceptable. There was a course marshal, but he seemed to only be interested in making sure that everyone had paid to play - not in moving people to a decent standard of play.
After taking 4 hours to play 12 holes, I eventually gave up, and skipped ahead to play the 17th and 18th. These two holes typify the stupid course design: stand of tall trees in the middle of the fairways. The 18th green had a huge mound in the middle of it - presumably because that's where they buried the course architect....
The whole resort is all fur coat and no knickers - a spa in the middle of an industrial estate, with the M40 roaring by. I won't be going again.
another good day away from the office
good course, very dry at the moment with the hot spell we are having but course in good condition, didn't seem too difficult but we both had an off day and made it harder than it was, didn't get to try the off course amenities but it looked good. would like to play here again and hopefully will.
Nice course!
Grass was very burnt so the game was not as normal! I would like to come back when there is proper grass everywhere. Greens were really fast due to dryness. The layout is great and difficult, however you don’t loose balls since the rough is well kept and open.
I thought I was on a big course abroad and my Online bookings meny it was very cheap!
Great staff and good course
Returned to Bicester for a game and through no fault of his own the director of golf had to delay our tee time for 25 minutes and could not have been more helpful friendly or customer focused in his approach. He offered us generous compensation for the delay and made sure our visit was a very pleasant and positive experience. I cannot recommend this club enough and although the ground had clearly suffered in the hot weather the greens were well maintained and a good challenge
Very good complex
Excellent place to play golf ⛳.
Would highly recommend.
Cracking course
Lovely, flat course, with some proper golf holes, makes you think all the way around. Greens were excellent and responsive despite the continued warm weather. Would highly recommend to all levels of handicap.
Glorious weather and golf
Can’t really fault the course it was in great condition nice to see the 9 holes with its new open layout, the greens were on top form, I was surprised how busy it was yet I managed to play the full course off the whites in under 4 hours
Can not wait to play again
Disappointed
Was disappointed with the course as all greens had plenty of sand on them as well as each green appeared to have numerous divots too. If they weren’t divots then each green potentially had some kind of disease. I elected to play the course because of the flyover which I felt flattered to deceive. There was also a temporary green for no apparent reason.
Very enjoyable course
I hadn’t played Bicester GC for years and what a nice surprise it was. The greens were excellent for this time of year and rolled very well. Everything looked nice and manicured and defined.
Will be coming again.
3 very happy golfers.
Bicester Golf.
The course was in excellent condition.Very good value for money.Enjoyable round of golf. The greeting in the pro shop on arrival was surly and not as welcoming as many other clubs we have played this year. That and the expensiveness of the breakfast were the only drawbacks on an enjoyable day.
I would certainly recommend the course as it's suitable for all standards of golfer.
Challenging course
The course has some really challenging and thought provoking holes. The 11th is an excellent Par 3 over a small lake. One of my favourite holes on any course. The fairways are quite dry but in not too bad a condition. The 10th is currently under reconstruction and the bunker at the front of the green has recently been filled in and is GUR. The course is pretty flat although the 14th has a downward slope to the green. Lots of water around the 13th and 14th make those a couple of real testing holes. The club shop is good and the bar is fairly new and very decent. The tees and greens are kept very well. Overall a very good course. I will be playing their regularly.
Fantastic course at great price.
Myself and my son played, and both had a fantastic round of golf, the course has a great layout with several holes that really make you think about club selection, both from the Tee, and off the fairway.
The greens are both challenging and not the largest so putting your ball on the correct levels is also required, but not always possible.
A real pleasure to play, thanks very much.
Worth a visit
Very well equipped professional Pro Shop with a warm welcome. Stocking a big selection of top brand golf clubs, great selection of accessories and clothing too if you need to stock up.
Great facilities all round being a country club so no disappointment there either.
The course was playing wet but was quite impressed with the condition of the course, the fairways and tee boxes were in superb condition.
Unfortunately, on the majority of the holes you were playing to temp greens which I guess is fair enough in winter just disappointed we missed out on several great looking holes. Really enjoyed the layout of the course, there were some challenging holes - even with the temp greens in play. There is quite a bit of water and bunkers to test your game which I quite enjoyed. Saying that, there are maps of the hole on each tee so you do know what's waiting for you up ahead.
Pace of play was relaxed and easy, I believe there was a club tournament in the morning but by the time of our booking they were well clear and basically had the course to ourselves.
Will definitely be playing here again again when the greens are back in action. Would still recommend playing there now, good value for money when booking through TeeOffTimes.
challenging greens
The course is totally flat with no hills.there are many bunkers and quite a few areas of water to play over and up to.a challenging course with very fast undulating greens.overall very good condition and enjoyable to play.
