Excellent Course
Considering the time of year the course was in really good condition and the greens nice and fast. Good value for money and would recommend to any golfer
What a lovely experience!
Great little course, plenty of variety on the holes, all greens open and in superb condition. The breeze makes it a much harder challenge than it looks, but a proper "golfer's" course in the conditions. The pro was extremely friendly and helpful, as were the bar staff. Members very friendly and chatty too. Just about as close to the perfect round of golf in February as you could ask for. Will definitely be heading back if ever I'm down that way again - highly recommended.
Great course conditions plenty of hazards ie water ditches you ether lay up or go for it
Recommend visit
Great course, great value and a beautiful clean, welcoming clubhouse with lovely food.
Decent little course
Not a long course so easy to walk round, great for those getting into golf and want to make the step up from Par 3 courses.
I had a 3 ball in front of me that declined to wave me through despite constantly waiting for them to play so that was painful. Also noticed people not repairing pitch marks but that is probably due to people not familiar with the responsibilities a golfer should posess.
I'd play here again but would be mindful of how busy it could get.
Great changes
Having been a member of Brean 26 years ago, I was itching to get back and play the new layout. All I can say is wow, why did it take me so long to get back there. I love how they have framed the greens in numerous ways and separated the fairways. Already looking forward to playing again. Not along course, so a great course for all abilities, my partner enjoyed it even taking up my challenge of playing off the yellow and not red tees
See you soon.
Okay
Not too onerous.
Next to a holiday park so gets a mixture of golfers ... hackers to regular players. Zero etiquette upwards.
Facilities next to course - restaurant & bar very modern and well designed.
Course good if you want to practice or a hack or produce a good score but not if you a challenge.
Good Beginners Course
Not too onerous.
Played previously in wet and poor condition.
Yesterday dry.
The round was fine.
Improving Course
Not particularly a challenge for average or lower handicap players. Bit of a ego boosting course. Flat. Greens have improved considerably since last I played (pre covid).
Recommend to beginners, improvers and more experienced golfers wanting to shoot lower than their handicaps.
Great course
Excellent game a challenge but good lost 6 balls but very windy I reckon a fantastic challenge with no wind course in great condition
Huge improvements on this course overall
I last played brean in 2012. Since then, whole new course layout, fairways improved, greens improved (7/10, still hard greens but well cared for), general surroundings are lovely. There's a new clubhouse too which is 10/10.
I used to consider this as a low level course maybe 3/10. Now it's 6 or 7/10.
Great course and fantastic clubhouse
Excellent course. A little short on yardage but the water hazards and bunkers are enough to keep low handicappers interested. Modern bar and restaurant offer a great range of food and drinks. Pro shop was very helpful and well stocked. Will definitely play here again
Great course for a winter game
Played in February after three storms had made most other courses unplayable. What a nice surprise to find nice firm fairways and dry greens. A credit to the ground staff that the course was in such good condition after all the rain we had had in previous week. Excellent clubhouse. Highly recommend a visit here.
