Pretty good
Pretty decent course. Was in good condition even as the greens had just been hollow tined. Some good holes with water. The course doesn't look like it's been there for long, could do with some more trees between the holes to make it a bit more interesting/difficult.
Played on a Saturday afternoon and it was very quiet. 30 quid pp seems a but steep. 20-25 would be a bit more reasonable; probably why it was so quiet.
Regrettably disappointing
I want to be on here telling you how great this course is but unfortunately my experience wasn’t great. We arrived early for our 10.35 tee time to find a sign on the 1st tee saying course closed. It was wet and that’s not my gripe. When it’s a late tee time like mine was there is no excuse not to update your website with the course status. My friend and I travelled 35 miles and payed £35 to find only back 9 open. The lad in the pro shop wasn’t particularly helpful when we discussed a possible refund. We were told we could play two loops of the back 9. However when we returned the 10th there was 12 people waiting to tee off and it would’ve obviously been dreadfully slow so we packed up had a pint and went home. I will say the bar was very nice with lots of lovely looking food options. Also the 9 holes we did play were challenging and well set up. The greens were among the best I’ve putted on even despite the damp weather so fair play to the greens keepers for that. I will definitely return but would suggest ringing ahead for the course status 1st if it’s been wet.
Excellent
Played course end of January and for the time of year, the course was in excellent condition. Really enjoyable day out. Couple of winter mats on the par 3’s which is understandable mid winter but overall excellent. Members also very friendly, would definitely recommend.
Course layout 1 of the best
1st time.there...would highly.recommemd to any standard....100% legit
3 Amigos
Great club, course, staff and and venue.
Always a challenge to play, shot choice is crucial.
Will be back soon.
Great Course
Even though it's the time of year that maitenance is carried out the course was in great condition
Good course structure but poor greens
Really good holes that are challenging and nice layout. All greens though were being worked on so were nearly impossible to play on.
Best of the year
Playing behind a fourball, one of whom had obviously never played before, wasn't great. This is NOT a course to learn on.
The greens were in excellent condition, true lines, good paced and almost blemish free.
There is four or five places with GUR on the fairways where they have put new drainage in. At £30 it's about right, at £35 it's pushing it.
Take a few balls!
Tricky but fun course, lots of water which of course I found....... a lot! 18th is a long drive over a lake! Really tough hole to finish on and slightly confusing if your new to the course.
Really friendly young man in the pro shop. Overall a really nice course, can’t wait to go back.
