Hilton Puckrup Hall

this is the first time i am writing review on golf now although i have played several times using golf now.

i booked for £81.00 for 3 players and travelled an hour to finally excited to play. as soon we were on hole no.10, it stared hailstorm, torrential rain, thunder and lightening. course was completely smashed and green became a pool.

unfortunately, play had to stop and return back but no option.

The course was in good condition, greens true and outlying areas well mowed. However, 4hrs 45 mins for a 2 ball was disappointing. Several 4 balls were very slow and would not let smaller groups through, so often faced with 3 groups on a tee. Clearly needs some form of course management to speed up pace of play - 'ready golf' needs to be more vigorously enforced.

Good challenge, event off winter tees .

Will definitely return for a summer round ☀️

The course and greens are in great for this time of year.

Great condition for end of January .

Only a few temporary tees and the greens were in excellent condition .

Really enjoyed the round and will return as its value for money

Terrible greens. Fairways sandy. Around the greens had no grass. Looks in a state of disrepair. Avoid.

As with all courses, this summer has dried them out, but within 60yds of all greens the ground is still extremely firm, including most fairways. Many of the greens are clearly under repair/rejuvenation and do not run true.

I like the course, the layout and enjoy playing it, but as a single golfer, paying £45 when the course isn’t in great condition seems unfair. It didn’t help that people snook onto the course behind us after walking down the road and proceeded to drive through to us over the next few holes.

Halfway way house wasn’t open again and all visits this year it’s never been open even though it’s advertised as having one.

A good course offering a challenging experience to bother newcomer and experienced golfer alike. Would definitely like to play here again.

The contrast between wide open holes on the front nine and the tighten back nine was a great test of skill.

A really enjoyable coarse with lakes and bunkers to contend with. Fairly open and greens are in a good condition. Rate of play was steady and we got around within 3.5 hours. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic course just like most courses at the moment fairways have struggled with out the rain but greens were still great

I'm a fairly new golfer and this was my first real experience of playing at a wide expansive course.

The course has an eclectic mix of hole types, some long wide open fairways and others tree lined dog legged holes that demand attention for fear of ending up in the water.

I really enjoyed the water and am keen to give it another go now I know the course.

Only issue was fairway conditions. The fairways was absolutely rock solid, but other than a good 6.8 out of ten

Would love to play here again once the fairway are in better softer conditions.

Course could do with watering but so could almost everywhere due to the fine summer. Greens were in good condition mostly, a couple with bare patches. Friendliest of staff , bar/ golf reception was excellent.

Having just completed 3 days golf at Puckrup hall Hotel and Golf Club I didn’t get the opportunity to see you to thank you for your help and the hospitality we received during the three days.

Everyone had a great time before, during and after the golf. The efforts of all yours and the hotel staff were greatly appreciated, especially in respect of the smooth handling on the meals yesterday afternoon, so thanks for that.

Looking forward to seeing you next year.
