Good and Bad
The overall feel is that money is tight on this course I.e Golf Bunkers are unplayable as they haven't been raked since the last millennium and there's no sand in them. The toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned for a while and the pro shop was closed. So putting all that aside the rest of the course is OK and worth a visit at the right price. It's not a course that will get your heart beating faster but it's reasonable challenging for a mid handicapper.
Sapey is always an enjoyable experience and it will be sad day when they close the club on 27th March 25.
Friendly Welcome
Sapey is always an enjoyable experience. A friendly welcome is received and for the time of year the course is in a reasonable condition when you consider the recent wet weather.
Would always recommend to anyone who enjoys playing different courses.
Very wet and not looked after
The course doesn't seem to be looked after which is a shame I.e bunkers unplayable, leaves everywhere, holes closed, fairways wet and not a green keeper in site -played Cleobury the week before and they were everywhere - more course tlc required or the course will just go one way.
Wouldn't play again to summer and will re-avaluate.
Good Test
Played here many times. Nice friendly pro, decent golf shop and bar. Course is decent but I don't know why they don't seem to be looking after the bunkers? However that said the course seems to be letting anyone play hence slow play is inevitable - it doesn't matter how many golf buggies they hire out!!
The course was in relatively good condition for the time of year. especially after the recent wet weather.
The greens are not at their best and the tees are a little muddy in places, but in saying that it was a dry day and as always a great location to play golf.
All associated with the club are most welcoming as ever.
Friendly pro - nice course
Reasonable layout. Decent test and enjoyable. The only downside side was the bunkers were basically unplayable so if we went in one we just dropped ball at the back of them and played from there. Greens were good. Tees a little rough but would expect that in November.
Clay soil, course closed
Built on clay soil on arrival in sunny weather the course was closed , no notification of this or any other websites including golf now and BRS, wasted 1.5 hr round trip + petrol etc.
never again!
Hidden Gem
Fantastic layout... Quality greens.. Very helpful staff
The course was in excellent condition
Very pleasant course in excellent condition with nice views. Friendly staff with a fantastic modern clubhouse. Only negative was no food on offer after the round.
Great course!
Fantastic course in the Worcestershire area. A little on the pricey side but worth it! We unfortunately went on a wet day but still managed the full 18 and really enjoyed the course. Definitely one to come back to again
Excellent
The course was in very good condition and the is a good test for all grades of golfer
Excelllent course condition
It was apleasure to play at Sapey again. The course was in excellent condition, the staff in the clubhouse were helpful and friendly and the weather ensured that we had a really enjoyable afternoon.
Recommended
Sapey is always an enjoyable experience. The course is good condition following the poor weather through the winter.
The biggest issue is still the condition of the bunkers and really could do with work that will require them being excavated and new sand installed.
Staff are always very friendly and helpful.
Excellent course conditions
I was hesitant to play due to the rain the evening before and throughout the night. Some areas of the rough were pretty wet but you would hope not to be in there anyway! Fairways and greens were immaculate still and surprisingly firm. Great course.
Good Course
Really nice course. Greens and fairways are in good condition considering the weather we have had. The only negative thing about the course were the bunkers.
