Needs a Broome

The tees were bare as we're the greens. Fairways were only cut on about 9 holes. When you putted it was like driving on our roads, bumps and holes everywhere. You needed prefer lies on the greens. Playing from the fairways was like Playing out of semi rough the whole time. This was the weekend where the course should be ready for play? Every bunker was different, some with shallow sand some were worse. This course is vastly overpriced for the condition of it. We won't be back for a few years but only if it has improved.

Disappointing

The greens were in such terrible condition as to be virtually unplayable. Bare, tree roots and cracks and the alternative hole positions were not filled correctly. Fairways were not much better. Extremely disappointing

Greens are being worked obviously but should probably be marked GUR as had to putt through several parts not in a typical condition of a normal green, some of the rough I think on the front nine should be cut shorter especiallyon the third where the slope just runs down no matter where you land & its blind as well ( saw a number of golfers including ourselves all looking for their golf ball.

Generally course in better condition to when I played last

Broome park golf club

I arrived to play Broome park golf course today, straight away the problems started, they now longer have a pro shop open it’s being renovated into something?

I had to walk to the half way shed to check in.

The practice green was in terrible condition.

The first tee box wasn’t any better, the condition of the tee box was uneven and full of divots.

The greens all had some sort of rotten grass on them, some off the greens also had tree roots growing through them, there was more cracks on the green than a cricket crease.

It’s looks like this course has got a lot of potential to be a great venue, however I was speaking to a member who informed me that the green keeper team consists of only two people, how can you run a golf course with two people it’s impossible.

All the money is being invested into the hotel which is running the course into the ground which is a real shame as the surroundings are beautiful.

I didnt not enjoy my around at all and I will not be back to this course again due to the comments I have spoken about, truly a disappointment Broome park you need to listen to your members or you will loose them and the paying public that are travelling to stay in your hotel and play golf.

The Worst Course In Kent.

Over the last five years the course and the management have taken the view the members and the course do not matter.

The tee boxes, and bunkers have seen no investment in years. The greens may get attention every five years and have become at best poor.

The winter sees the course resemble a rugby pitch.

A championship course has been run into the ground and become a ploughed field with 18 flags placed strategically placed on some short grass.

Members have had enough, complained and left,

Avoid at all cost ! The worst course in South East Kent by a mile.

the worst condition of an 18 hole golf course

Upon arrival there wasn't anyone at the pro shop and to report to the half way house for check in. The half way house was closed and no one was there. Every hole was the same. A mud pit. Every green poor condition with mud and bald spots and tyre tracks. Holes 5-8 were so muddy in the fairway you couldn't hit a shot.

The green on 6 the par 3 was the worst green I've ever played on.

This course used to be one of Kents finest with a pretty setting and manicured fairways. This has now been left to rot. I will be contacting them to request my money back as this was the worst round of golf Ive played in East Kent. £22 per person it's not worth £5.

Broome Park

The course is looking a bit worse for wear. Bunkers are hard and fairways not mown. Greens are decent. Lots of mud. Ball washing facilities need water.

The course has the potential to be very nice, but a bit of TLC would not go amiss right now.

Good course

Good course. Great layout. Grass on some fairways were on the longer side but nothing to really moan about. Price of the green fee is where I have slight problem, £60 is on the steep side but overall I think it’s a good place to play your golf.

The course is in a very poor condition compared with the last time I played here a few years ago.

Tee boxes & greens probably the worst I’ve played on this year which is a shame as this used to be a very nice.

Great greens

Staff welcoming on arrival. Front nine was slow due to the group in front from the first tee. Greens were true and consistant for the whole 18. Course in great condition. Will definitely play again
