Beautiful test

First time playing here, first impressions were fantastic.

Lovely approach to the club, and very welcoming staff in the shop.

The course itself was in great condition, quick greens, sometimes multi-levelled.

The fairways were also sometimes undulating, and occasionally blind, which was a bit tricky for a first-timer, which led to a couple of “hit and hopes”.

Poor accuracy is punished by low, thick heather.

A lot of friends were interested in my experience here, and I will highly recommend a visit, and now with a previous visit under my belt, I will return asap with a little course knowledge.

Thank you for the great day Camberley

Came here for an enjoyable round and was frustrated from the start

Arrived early for our 3pm tee time, I went to check in and nobody was in the pro shop so decided to wait around for 10 minutes… nothing. Thought it was strange but as we still had 40 mins until our scheduled tee time we took to the putting green. The putting green all of a sudden had a rush of players, maybe 10 trying to use it. In this time we had seen maybe 2 groups go off the first tee. After 20 minutes or so putting I decide to try and check in at the pro shop again, to find nobody there yet again. Waited around for a minute or so but nothing. Fast forward to 5 minutes before our tee time and we go back in to check and someone is finally there. The gentleman checked us in then gave us the bad news that our scheduled tee time has been pushed back. He mentioned it would be 10 mins after.

We went to find the practice net to warm up. After returning 10 minutes later we were met by 3 other groups of golfers trying to tee off, all being told different things about the wait. But we figured it out between us.

The round was horrible, for the front nine we clocked it at 2hr48 minutes, some holes we were waiting on the tee for 10 minutes. After hole 15 it sped up, I guess people had had enough of the slow play.

All in all it was a terrible experience and I wouldn’t expect 5 hour rounds at a course like this. We clocked in at 4hrs 58mins after teeing off.

I did putt well though.

Great golf course! Very picturesque!

What a golf course! Front 9 is incredible and the back 9 is slightly easier to score! Very subtle breaks in the greens and if you’re out of position it’s hard to score. Would 100% come back and worth every penny.

Camberley Heath

An underwhelming experience playing this course. I found the front 9 enjoyable. Some nice holes in a lovely setting. However I found the back 9 poor. Heather banks spoil some holes. Some shots you don’t know they are there, there are no hole guides or even hole numbers, and the white colour tipped posts are pointless.

The fairways on 17 and 18 are poor. And the 18th as a finishing hole is comedic.

The halfway house was nice to see, but the Sausage sandwich was horrible and a rip off.

Overall disappointing, and not my cup of tea.
