Chingford Golf Course

As a beginner it was definitely a challenging course, but overall my partner and myself enjoyed our round

Nothing wrong with the course at all, it’s actually picturesque in many places, the greens were decent and the fairways well looked after.

It’s a personal note but my friend and I got stuck behind the slowest 4 ball on earth who didn’t let us play through. Very frustrating. Not the clubs fault and of course, it’s a public course son it may be a bit rich complaining about it but it just kind of sullied the day. I mean..... one of them shot 16 on a par 3 - it was that slow.

Nice course, would play again.

Greens are in good nick for a municipal course.

Beware of the slopes on the third green , pin was in a Augusta like position today.

The only draw back is now everybody is wanting to play and newer may not know the essential points of the game like shouting fore.

Everybody hits bad shots , but not everybody shouts fore If a ball strikes someone and does not shout fore , then it becomes a different conversation. If you know what I mean..........

Staff are friendly and helpful. Other players were nice to us as a beginner. We had a good time. It's a bit surprising that there was a group of young people on pic-nice in the middle of the fairway with the music and dancing, don't know if it has always been like this, never experienced anything like this before.

I always love playing Chingford, the first is great, the course has really varied holes. The greens were really good

Course is lovely greens and fairways very nice great value for money put single players and 2 balls should’ve been paired, great value for money probably why it was so busy

Good value for money. Greens great. Tee boxes not. Fairways patchy

Very good condition for a public course. The clubhouse provide a map as some of the layout can be confusing. Only 3 par 3’s so quite a long course for a novice. Only issue for us was slow play from a group in front that held everyone up but apart from that it was a very good day,

Great greens, poor tee boxes, fairways very average. Hit a few fairways and had to winter rules my lie. Sometimes I hit fairway and had a beautiful lie.

All in all. Nice easy - fair course. Great value

Good value for money, well kept for a public course

One of my locals that went downhill a bit during Corporation changes etc but now looking back to old ways with hole definition and greens recovering well. Some simple work to improve tee areas, walkways etc with signage could be done but not likely. Always an enjoyable round as challenging on each hole. Great value on twilight but too dear on saturdays
