Will be back

First time playing Chigwell, great course, challenged us that’s for sure.

Course in great greenkeepers helpful and polite.

Halfway hut, great range of food and drinks, clean, the memorabilia is a nice touch.

Proshop, great range, good prices and extremely helpful and knowledgeable, practice nets ok.

Clubhouse, really impressed, great atmosphere, superb selection of drinks, girls friendly and make you feel welcome, which is sometimes not the case in members clubs when you’re a visitor.

Well done Chigwell, looking forward to our next visit.

We had a great day

Chigwell

What a challenge greens in good condition plenty of undulations to catch you out some greens are faster than others but excellent condition although they plan to do some work on them soon the layout was a good challenge there was some areas around the greens that have been affected by the winter months but I’m sure they will improve in the coming weeks overall worth the trip if you haven’t played there the im sure you won’t be disappointed

One of the best in Essex

Chigwell Golf Course is a real gem. The prosjop is well stocked and the pro was happy to regrip my driver. The fairways are in fantastic shape, making each hole enjoyable and challenging in the best way. The greens are perfect – smooth and consistent, giving you a true roll every time. The bar staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home.

Bold statement, but this course is one of the best in Essex. The attention to detail is great, course layout is great, with some challenging holes and the staff were incredibly friendly. Greens were immaculate too.

Great course and in good condition despite the heat wave!

Beautiful course, good layout, firm greens and friendly staff. No practice range, and uneven tee boxes are the only knocks. Would strongly recommend, a tough test.

Enjoyable course with some good holes.

Played midweek, course very quiet & completed the round in 3hrs 20 mins for a two ball. Course well maintained & fairways were nicely cut. Greens were a bit long but understandable given the recent hot weather.

Overall a good experience & I will return another day.

Quality

Course is in fabulous condition and the layout makes excellent use of a small plot. You have to think your way round, with the occasional opportunity to really open the shoulders

Lovely course

The course is well-manicured and undulating and as the late afternoon sun came out looking beautiful. Plenty of bunkers and dog legs to keep it interesting with a few tricky greens. Lots of trees separating one fairway from another but generally no undergrowth so made it quite forgiving.

Great Course and Great members

I played this course for the first time yesterday on my own and caught up to 3 members who invited me into their 3 ball and ended up having a great time.

Moderate course to play and in great conditions at the moment.

Highly recommend anyone to go and play this course, but be ready to put the driver away and play it safe on many holes.
