Designed by Dick Phelps, Forest Creek Golf Club has been named "Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas" by Golf Digest as well as "Golf Club of the Year" by Club Corporation of America. Phelps' design features plush, narrow fairways, and its namesake Forest Creek that comes into play on 11 holes. Many of the holes dogleg, and its most difficult holes are the long par 4s. These holes are especially evident on the back nine, with holes 10, 15, and 18 all playing well over 400 yards. The 15th is the most difficult, playing a bogey-welcoming, par 5-like 472 yards.

This course is normally a great course
I’ve played this course many times over the years but this winter the course is in very poor condition. I was extremely disappointed and will not go back until warmer summer weather. The greens were TERRIBLE!!
Good condition for January
Greens were great, fairways tight, but it’s January. Friendly staff. Always worth the trip!
Great course
First time playing this course. Only played the front nine, but was a challenging fun course. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would recommend
Pace was as Amazing as this Course
Wonderful experience on a holiday weekend Sunday tee time! Greens fees includes hot dog and drink and a bucket of balls. They take the pace of play very seriously and we soooooo appreciate that! Such a great layout with staff that are eager to make your outing as enjoyable as possible. Will not get bored with the holes on this course. Even with 25 mph wind gusts we were able to enjoy the course! Excited to return!!
Course is great!
Play a lot of courses in the Austin area and this is by far one of the best courses.

Course in fantastic condition, friendly staff and great value for money. Will definitely be coming back.
Great municipal course
Day after I played (my first time on it) the course hosted a pga qualifier tournament so course was tiptop shape. Challenging but fair for me from white tees as a 14 handicap. Driving range, practice green and chipping green to practice on. Beautiful surroundings with several creeks running through the track. I’d play it again for sure. Terrific value.
