About
Designed by Dick Phelps, Forest Creek Golf Club has been named "Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas" by Golf Digest as well as "Golf Club of the Year" by Club Corporation of America. Phelps' design features plush, narrow fairways, and its namesake Forest Creek that comes into play on 11 holes. Many of the holes dogleg, and its most difficult holes are the long par 4s. These holes are especially evident on the back nine, with holes 10, 15, and 18 all playing well over 400 yards. The 15th is the most difficult, playing a bogey-welcoming, par 5-like 472 yards.

Great time great value
Staff was great. Overall the entire experience/course was above average and at an outstanding value.
Course is in really good shape
Haven’t played forest creek in a solid year and a half, it’s in perfect condition.
Good course but problems
Fun track
Starters are impolite and pushy.
Carts are miserable
Course is fun,
Inside staff and cart girl are very friendly and helpful
Good course if you have a group
If you have your own group of 4 this would be a very fun course to play, however if you want to play as a single there is a guarantee you will be paired up with 1 or more people you don’t know. First time I played I got paired with two other singles in which none of us knew each other, second time I was paired with 3 other singles, a 4.5 hour round with 4 people who don’t know each other was very awkward, however we tried to make the best of it. Course itself looked great, but the guarantee of being paired with strangers regardless of how busy the course is and greens covered in sand is where the 3 stars come from.
Forest Creek is one of my favorites!!
First of all, the staff is extremely friendly. Secondly the course is in great condition, carts have GPS and course maps, and finally, probably the best golf value in Central Texas!

For being hotter than 9 kind’s of heck the course is in great condition.
Excellent course returning for sure
Great experience overall. I’m a beginner, hence I screw up more when I’m being rushed. We were rushed once due to the other players in our group had a flight to catch so they wanted to play fast ahead of us, but we kept our normal pace. Staff was overall friendly and the price you pay for 18, is worth considering what’l all is included with the t time.
Great Course
My group of friends and I were visiting Austin for a Boys Trip and we found Forest Creek to have the best deal hands down. The staff was friendly and the course was good condition given it its been 100+ in Texas all summer. If you are visiting Austin and are looking for a great deal ($87 for cart, a beer, and a big dog), than I recommended Forest Creek.

Fantastic course to play in! Fairways and greens kept in fabulous conditions. Friendly staff overall great place. Definitely will come again!

Awesome experience. I play often and recently moved to Austin from Florida. I’ve been able to play the majority of the public courses in the area since I moved but I can confidently say this one is the best. This course and their staff checked all the boxes going above and beyond. Great Saturday round. Absolutely will be back. This might be my new favorite course
