Fantastic value and pure golf for a non-native who doesn’t know many local London courses.

Beautifully maintained, walkable course just outside London. Fairways are moderately tight and tree-lined—miss them and you’ll pay for it. Greens? World-class: smooth, fast, and a joy to putt on. Layout rewards accuracy and smart play more than distance.

Highlights: great weather, excellent conditions, strategic holes, and a peaceful, house-free setting.

Lowlights: Pace was not fast at about 4:30 but walking mitigated some of that. Other than that the “lows” were simply from not playing the course and not knowing the layout, spots to miss etc.

🎯 Verdict: A great parkland course and well maintained venue near London. Great value, amazing greens, and worth hauling clubs across the Atlantic.

It might have been because of the latest heat wave but the fairways and greens were not in the best conditions

Croham is a great course. We played at 7.30am on a Friday and wizzed around. The greens are in great nick. It’s a nicely laid out course with much to offer for all abilities.

I booked and paid for a football but only 3 of us could play. Can I please get a refund for the fourth person?

Fabulous course, fantastic greens, beautiful course design and layout, fairways not bad for this time of year, lovely clubhouse with friendly helpful staff, one my favourite courses, every hole a treat

Live locally and been very keen to play to course. Had to stop at hole 13 because the pace of play was so slow. Constant waiting around on tee boxes and between shots. Such a shame as the course is lovely but put off now by the risk of such slow play.

Unfortunately was frozen solid for a lot of the round but its a lovely course and one I would love to be a member of if was a little closer to home. Maybe a bit pricey for a short notice booking (day before) when forecast meant ground would be frozen

Booking confirmed to play New Years morning, arrived at course to see course closed today signs. Weather was fine with surrounding courses open, no one around to explain closure, may be something to do with New Years eve event at the club and lack of staff. No prior notification and no automatic refund. Poor all round from club. Wasted my and my playing partners time.

Played this course with my brother. Saw it on Golfnow and it seemed reasonably priced. Saw that it had great reviews so thought we’d give it a go.

From the moment I went into the pro shop, I felt the friendliness of the place. Had a bacon roll and were even given a free cuppa! Thank you to the kind girl for that.

Going to the course, the first thing I noticed was the immaculate condition of the tee box. Bearing in mind we were playing during a period of poor weather, we got lucky on the day and the course drained beautifully. The fairways and greens were fantastic and true. The holes were pleasing to the eye and presented different challenges. We’re both mid handicappers and thoroughly enjoyed the day. We were supposed to be playing at Canterbury, but our old man in his 80s pulled out because of the rain down that way. However, we will be bringing him up to this little gem of a course in the spring to show him what we experienced. Thank you to all at Croham Hurst for a memorable day out. See you next year.
