East Sussex National - West Course

What was considered the members course in the past, this a lovely course set in beautiful East Sussex.

Great friendly staff welcome you at both checking at the pro shop, the first tee, & halfway house

Course was busy, and small delay on the back 9, but was ok

Would play again or join!

Probably not the best idea to play if you are not on your game. Lost 7 balls!

Course is very nice but challenging. Greens are great. Fairways very generous.

The course was spectacular. But the half way house shut at 4.30 just as we finished the 9th having teed off at 2.30 on a very hot day. When you charge £85 a round you surely can cater for your clients. There were lots of tee times after us. And the course bar had closed by the time we finished. When you pay that much you expect the full club experience. The staff in the bar were not very apologetic and said the general manager closed the bar early to force golfers into the hotel bar. That was a long walk away and was packed and really noisy. . Service at the bar was slow and there was a wait at the till to pay. This makes it feel like you’re running a hotel with courses attached. I am moving to the area and am looking for a club to join. I won’t be joining the East Sussex.

Nice course but due to recent weather very waterlogged carry or buggies on path only and unfortunately not warned about this prior to arrival

generous fairways but needing precision onto quite quick sloping greens. Beautiful scenery would recommend..

We played the West course and will be back to play the East at some stage in the future. Course was in great condition, good quick greens that received a ball and the views were great.

Breakfast was a bit ropey and over priced with limited choice but other than that we had a great days golf and I would definitely recommend booking a round.

The practice facilities are superb. The West course, especially the back nine is a gem but a tough gem. Greens were immaculate and fast perfect for rolling true putts

I took a friend to play the Weet course as a thank you and it was well appreciated. We couldn't of had a better day weather wise, we got stuck in traffic and after one phone call I was automatically told we could tee off 20 minutes later which was perfect. The staff were as friendly as the last time I played there (around 7 years ago) and the course was in great condition. We had a 4ball in front of us who were quick paced and didn't need to wait for long than a couple of minutes on a few of the first holes and someone I think gat was on a lesson behind but they stayed well back. The only thing that we were uncertain of was where the next holes were but found quickly and didn't affect our day. All this taken into account, we will be back to play the East course and hopefully I'll score better than today! Recommend to anyone and if you think it's pricey, it's because it's worth it!
