The pace of play was very slow as a 3 ball we were held up on every hole we also had to let a 2 ball match through which made it longer still and greens themselves were lively but the fairways and tee boxes were scruffy
Lovely course
Played this a few times now, great course, can get it for £20 so a bargain. Greens lush, nice fairways (although bone dry) tee boxes a bit scruffy. Pace of play was a tad slow, especially the back 9.

Superb value for money ...
Played this course a few times now and it is one of my favourites for friendliness, course layout, pace of play, and challenging holes. Leave the driver at home or you will be in the trees a lot. At £20 it is hard to beat and generally the greens were in very good condition. There are some downsides to be aware of though; the current condition reminds me of the birmingham council courses of old - bare patchy and uneven tees (hard to find a flat spot), poor fairways, very poor bunkers with compacted very shallow sand all filled with stones and gravel, so pack your spade or get creative with your bunker shots. Negatives aside it is certainly a very enjoyable course to play and it will stay on my list to return.
Review of golf course
Tatty, lacking tlc, now know why it was only £20. Since last played (few years ago) gone down condition wise which is a shame as like the course.
Fantastic Value for money, great course and excellent staff
From the moment we arrived to walking off the course, the pro shop couldn't have been more helpful. The greens were a little longer than we were used to but were all perfectly true and held a ball into them well. The course offers a variety of interesting holes, which keep you on your game. We were behind a society so the pace was the pace, however it didn't spoil our day, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely play here again and sample the food next time.
Great course!
Course is great, only reason for star less if because of the fairways need more rain but that was it, great course an great people
Poor condition
Where to start, tee boxes are so bad it's like teeing off in the rough. The greens where really slow and the bunkers are also in really poor condition. I last played here about 15 yrs ago and it was in great condition and a pleasure to play, it's sad to see how it's been reduced to this. I can honestly say it's worse than a poor municipal course not worth the £20 and I definitely won't be back again unfortunately.
Interesting course with lots of trees
Played this course for the 1st time bad points were, the tee boxes bare and lumpy and the speed of play took 4hrs 30min to play by myself. otherwise a good course with good greens and interesting layout
Interesting course
Nice variety of holes. Greens beautiful. Fairs mainly fine. Tees were sandy but playable.
Lovely course, great value
Have played at Hollywood the last 3 weekends due to the excellent value for money. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Doesn’t get overly busy so you can play at a nice steady pace. Only issue would be the bunkers, the sand is quite compact and has lots of little stones in them. Apart from that a great course for the price. Paid £20 through Golf Now.
Great Course, Great value
I have played twice now after realising this members club was available to book on golf now. £20 for a round at a course that is so well looked after is amazing. I will be playing many more times.
Great course layout
Great course layout just needs a bit more maintenance.
The gentleman at counter was very friendly and helpful
Really friendly pro , nice challenging course, greens were in good nick . If you get the chance play here it’s well worth it
Best value for money
I have played a lot of courses usually in Essex where I am from where I pay £50 or more for half the quality of this course I paid £25 for 18 holes in unreal conditions.
Bunkers need attention
Played the course last Wednesday, unfortunately there was a society in front which slowed play a bit but to be fair I was allowed to play through by all four balls in front of me when possible.
Course was in good condition but the bunkers were compacted sand with a lot of stones and could definitely do with emptying and renewing with better quality sand, saying that I enjoyed my round and will definitely play this course again.
