Awful members - AVOID
The course wasn’t too bad apart from the 14th, not sure why this is on a temp tee.
The members of this club should be ashamed of themselves, we were told by the pro in the shop to tee off from the first at our allocated time. Whilst waiting for a four ball in front to finish, a group that had just played the 18th came over shouting and what I can only describe as abusing us. They then told us to tee off from the 10th as they were in a match. They were so very rude and there is simply no need or place for their attitude in the game. It totally ruined our round of golf and I resent paying money to be yelled at for no reason.
Disgusting!!!!!
Nice course with tricky greens
The course is easier from tee to green than other courses in the area with less trees on the sides of the fairways but the difficulty comes when you hit the greens. Very few straight putts and greens in good condition.. just played when it was club championship pin positions so each hole was tricky on the green.
Great value for money
Friendly greeting in the pro shop and a great value for money 4 ball. Very enjoyable but just one small thing the 14th hole has had its yardage vastly reduced due to some legal wrangle with some local residents but apart from that if you pay £20 like we did per person you get great value for money.
Good tight, short course...
would definitely recommend .. some great holes with ideal green and hazard positioning...not much water, which is a massive plus!!
Staff were great and course wasn't overly busy...
Golfnow at Fault
Despite golfnow being told by grimsdyke GC the it was and has been closed for several days. Golfnow took bookings for the course. So I booked. Only to go there on the day to be told it was closed. I have asked for a refund and still waiting for it.
Have played this course in the summer and it was fine but struggles in the winter.
Most holes were winter matts that were in really bad condition and 2 temporary greens.
Course condition wasn’t bad to be fair would really benefit from some new matts as the were not even flat.
No one in the pro shop on arrival so couldn’t even get a score card although when we walked to the first tee the pro came out and was pleasant.
When going back past the clubhouse I went over again to try get a card and again nobody there and door locked.
Friendly members welcome
Nice course and very friendly members
Tough walk as quite a few hills
Hot Deal
Very enjoyable round
Course in good condition generally a couple of temp tees and some bunkers require attention
Arrived early for tee time and was told can go off when ready
As first tee was busy started in the 10th
Got round in just over 3 hours.
Course interesting despite not being the longest requires placement off the tees .
Greens in good condition
A good round in mid winter
Had never played course before, but it was a very pleasant surprise. The course was in excellent condition for late December with greens that looked immaculate. Certainly not a long course with a number of par 4s under 300 yds but ideal for a competitive game with family after Xmas. Layout interesting and good views. I will return.
Great greens for the time of the year
Although the fairways were scorched and really dry the greens were outstanding. Would be nicer to have directional markers for the next hole. Worth a second visit when the weather cools and the fairways are greener.
Excellent
It’s the first time we’ve played at course and we both found it really great. The general course layout is good and liked that we tee’d off from the 13th. Par 3s are nice and varied.
Great welcome, exceptional greens.
A fantastic welcome at the Pro Shop kicked off a very enjoyable round. The course is by no means long but it is very tight in places and the greens are exceptional; a proper challenge. Can’t wait to go back.
Stuffy
Really enjoyed the course but members we met seemed a bit stuffy, didn’t really want non members there
