Fairways were dry , greens were very patchy and super fast and the rough was very long

there’s no grass left on a lot of the greens just mud so putting is terrible the fairways are like a football pitch the tee boxes are like the rough the course has been left to deteriorate badly so avoid playing there give in a year hopefully thy will get there house in order and start to fix the problem

We’ve always liked playing Haste Hill it’s a real pity the course has had no work done to it and it’s in a very poor state. The greens are the worst we have seen anywhere (we’ve played approximately 30 courses this year) after speaking with other players on the course we all said it’s in a really bad state and for £27 a complete robbery. We certainly won’t be going back anytime soon. This review has come from several people so be warned.

Great course, suffering a bit in places with the hot weather but not too bad. The second cut on the fairways is a little long so keep an eye on your ball or be prepared to lose a few.

Great setting in the sunshine and nice atmosphere.

If you’re new to the course some of the T’s can be a little hard to find but just ask, people are friendly enough.

Good course for a pay and play. Overall layout was good, greens very slow. No complaints other than pace of play, up to three groups waiting on some holes.

We booked Haste Hill on a Hot Deal so it was excellent value.

The weather was good - the rough had grown long and what with the areas of woods led to losing more balls (and finding(!)) than usual.

The off-course facilities have improved immensely since the last visit in 2020 with the car park now open beyond 5 pm- which is a big plus.

Overall good experience - though the rough was tougher than necessary!

To start - yes weather conditions so far this year have been terrible for golf courses and yes this is a low value public course so you shouldn't expect too much.

HOWEVER - you should never have a hard time finding a ball that is in the middle of a fairway. The group behind us gave up after 3 holes as the condition was so bad.

The most annoying part is, all they need to do is cut the grass and the course could actually be quite nice and that is the only reason that has kept this from being a flat out 1 star.

Extremely long grass for a fairway. The course is beautiful, but you shouldn't pay to play in a golf course on those conditions. Not really worth it.

Golf Now should make aware that the course is really not playable the ball kept plugging on the fair ways left after 3 holes

Unfortunately due to the amount of rain they were unable to cut the grass which made play very difficult! Great if you like a challenge! Ball was plugged on landing so lost quite a few balls but also found a few! Greens were rather dimpled. Also no 9 hole option, not sure why

I paid £8.99 on a hot deal which I thought was ok for a quick round, the fairways and rough are cut ok , it was very very boggy , waterlogged in places , they don't enjoy the luxury of underground drainage.

The greens were very disappointing. Very hard to 1 putt as it bobbles off line , I hope improvement has been earmarked for the summer.
