Nice course
Nice course but some greens had standing water - a concern as only in October!! Had a very slow 4 ball ahead of us but that happens I guess!
Kibworth GC is a hidden gem
A joy to play. Interesting holes, fantastic greens and fairways. Some course maintenance on the day I played but it did not affect our experience. I definitely would recommend this course.
Kibworth G.C. 8th October
All staff were welcomed us in a friendly and professional manner. The course was in very good condition after several days of adverse weather. Pace of play was excellent. An afternoon we all thoroughly enjoyed.
Loved
Played kibworth for the 1st time, and loved every minute of it, weather was horrible, very very wet, greens had standing water on them but the amount of rain was down to that, could have been clearer signs for the next tee box but over all the best course I’ve played in Leicestershire, would recommend to anyone
Nice Course
A nice flat course, good variations of holes, only slight downside was an open was being played and held us up quiet a lot
Pro Shop Staff
Having played here earlier in the week, I really wanted to come back and was already enquiring about membership. However, the lady in the pro shop had other ideas. Horrendous attitude to the point our round was ruined before it even began. Played 6 holes and walked off.
The man who we experienced earlier in the week was fantastic with us and I do like the course & clubhouse, but the woman today was rude, obnoxious and pretty much disinterested in anybody other than her regular chums. And golf is trying to get rid of these stereotypes?!
Risk and reward?
The track is great. Not a poor hole to be found and some great risk and reward chances. Greens on good form with a true roll although nowhere near the pace of the practice area. After a short delay, explained away as the fault of golf now we were on our way. As the 1st is a short par 4 we were permitted to tee off when the green cleared a good plan. Alas it didnt take long for our 4 ball to be halted behind the group ahead. We were to remain unfortunately trudging along behind the group ahead. It was still a positive experience though and we all know members that are not in any hurry don't we?
I was however quite astonished to observe and hear the afternoon beer garden carnage as we attempted to complete the 9th. A little too many loud drinkers, a little too packed in to their beer garden and with no regard for anyone on the course. I would have thought that only a stones throw from Leicester a little more social distancing might have been in evidence. For this reason we didnt stay for any hospitality.
So, in summary, the golf is great, worth the trip. Steer clear of the clubhouse.
played first week in January , excellent condition for time of year , friendly members , excellent value for money.
Tough course
On the surface a straight forward parkland style course. When you get to play it's very tight in places and alot of trees ready to punish the wayward drive.
Greens the fastest I have played all year
Loved it.
Played at 2:30pm on a Saturday in a 3 ball. Pace was great with no holdups and no one pressing behind us. Course in excellent condition with some challenging holes. Pro shop staff were very friendly. Lovely place, polite and friendly atmosphere and will not hesitate to return.
Always Great to play.
Course was in great condition. The pace of play was a little slow. Always plays well.
Challenging course for most people
Although it was carry bags only and very wet the course held up very well. Temporary greens were a little off putting but overall will happily return. There were many challenges and hitting the fairways helped.
The 18th
First time playing at Kibworth and will definitely be back.my wife and I are members at Kirby muxloe and the courses have a lot of challenging wholes alike.....but the 18th at Kibworth is the most challenging surrounded by bunkers so keep out ....
First time
Enjoyed the round. Plenty of challenges. Great greens.
Dark Ages
Before we teed off on the first we approached by a man who announced himself as the club secretary who berated us due to the fact my shorts were not the right type and shirt was not tucked in properly. Spoken to as though we were naughty school boys as opposed to grown men. Club shop was closed following our round and playing partners tried to return buggy keys in the clubhouse, staff said 'nothing to do with us'....This club is clearly operating in the dark ages...unfriendly, elitist and unwelcoming to non members. Will not be playing here again.
