About
Greatwood is known for its white sand bunkers and impressive par 3s, three of which play right at or over 200 yards. The 1989 Carlton Gipson design features elevated tees and greens that sandwich plush fairways and are contoured with mounds.
The 434-yard par 4 hole 5 is one difficult par, featuring a fairways loaded with bunkers and involves water on the approach. No. 18 goes 576, yards. While the tee shot is fairly standard, the second shot must land short of a plateau and might involve a blind approach shot if placed too far to the left. The intimidating approach plays into a green surrounded by water on three sides.
Getting there : From Hwy. 59 south, turn left on Crab River Rd., then make a left onto the other side of Hwy. 59. Look for Greatwood Pkwy. and make another left when you get there.

Tuesday Afternoon at Greatwood GC
This course did not honor TeeOff green fee of $34.64 rather I was charged $37.00 - even after showing TeeOff reservation confirmation with the $34.
Good value
Greens are in pretty good shape. The bunkers need some work. Many golfers leave the rakes in the inside the bunkers.
Overall good value & a challenging course.
Very challenging
Lots of water and sand to make things interesting. Great course.

Threat of rain kept folks away, we were by ourselves!

Course conditions were okayed and no problem whatsoever with pace of place. I will be back!
Crappy Course and Even Crappier Management
What a crappy excuse for a golf club!! After being told I had to share a golf cart with a stranger, I showed the clueless girl In the proshop, who couldn't put together a coherent sentence, my round came with my own cart, she shrugged her shoulders and mumbled "oh well do you want a cart or not" she charged me an extra $25 on top of the $45 I already paid for this over priced crap. They were mowing the greens at 8am while players were hitting. Sprinklers going off in the middle of the day while you're playing the hole. Save your money play elsewhere!
Horrible conditions and maintenance
The course was in awful condition. Tee boxes were so hard you couldn’t get a tee in the ground. Boxes were also messy with piles of broken tees. Facilities were old and not maintained well. Staff was unfriendly. Female bartender was on the phone sitting on the couch when I walked up and when she came over to the bar she stayed on the phone the entire time. Plenty of other courses I’d play before returning here.
Absolutely horrible
Most unenjoyable day on the golf course I’ve ever had. Pace of play was ridiculously slow. Waited 5-7 minutes in between hitting each shot. Course is loaded with beginners and tee times are stacked every 7 minutes. Horrible time management on tee times. This Course has gone so down hill.. Will never play here again.
Slowwwww
The pace of place is extremely slow out here. I had a tee time at 8 am on a Wednesday and there were multiple groups per hole but not that many people out here. Constantly waiting on every shot.
