Excellent
Pro couldn’t have been more welcoming. Course and greens in great nick. Some really interesting holes.
Can’t stop going back here!
My pal and I enjoy playing lots of different courses around Leeds and Yorkshire but LGC takes some beating. Not to be confused with any other ‘Leeds’ courses. Head up Elmete Lane for a real treat.
The greens are like billiard tables and the design of the course is fantastic- every hole is a treat. If your golf is not going great the views will make up for it. A Yorkshire Gem.
Very good
Unfortunately I was unable to go as I got covid but a friend went in my place he has said it was a lovely well maintained course and guy in shop was really good, as the forecast was hot they asked to hire buggies which was sorted no problem his usual game time is in Spain but said this was a very good course and would accomadate all levels of golfer with a handicap.he has lived in Leeds on and off and said he had never played before but he said a little gem and for the money excellent value.
Excellent
Greens we’re true, course was well maintained. A great challenge. Only downside was the lack of clear directions to next green…only relevant a couple of times.
Great course and staff
We thought it would be a easy course how mistaken were we, great service from the guy in the shop got me a buggy even though the team had said the night before our tee was too early and they were sorry which I understood fully, the course is immaculately kept the other golfers talked too us and we felt welcome. Some testing holes and some very testing holes overall we will be back and thank you for a great experience
Great course
Love playing here every time. Course is always in a great condition and staff are brilliant. Will be looking at becoming a member soon!
Beautiful course
Every hole is a picture. I can’t understand why this course is not in everyone’s top 5. It’s in great condition and a credit to all the staff. Greens like snooker tables and bunkers are excellent with consistent sand unlike some more renowned courses.
Considering joining here despite living an hour away!
A good mix of some challenging holes and some pretty straight forward holes. Mostly enjoyed our round, the only slight criticism is the greens and the approaches around the greens were a little hard which gave a few inconsistent bounces.
Best value in Leeds
Leeds GC is a really nice course, always in good condition. Lots of fun holes and a particularly inviting finish. Staff always friendly and there was bonus Thai food in the clubhouse, which was amazing. Can’t really fault it and the best value in Leeds — and there are a lot of good courses around the city.
Best in the LS postcode
Perfect condition for December, friendly staff and members and by far the best value for money in the area. Highly recommend this course
The course stood up well against the recent wet weather
Played Leeds Cobble Hall as our home course was shut due to wet conditions.
Leeds had a mix of very wet, wet and a few dry holes. Where there had been a lot of golf traffic, the ground was churned up with sand laid down to try and firm it up. Some of the greens were very spongy and soft, however the ball rolled ok once you got used to the pace.
Overall the course had stood up well against the recent wet weather and represented good value for money.
Unfortunately the air blower for cleaning was not working and there weren't any decent shoe brushes to use . A minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things.
