Sammons Golf Course

I love playing this course. The only negative I have about this course is the pace (5 or 6 carts all together playing), and due to COVID they pair you up with other players. I do not like this because we are trying to stay safe and we have no idea who we are playing with and vice versa.

If not for COVID, we would be okay.

We struggled locating the next hole on many occasions. There are multiple cart paths and the holes are scattered in different directions. We were not the only group confused as to where many of the next holes were located. It affected the pace of play. Very frustrating.

The course was decent shape at best. Fairways burned up but greens good. But extremely poor amenities and communication. We teed off at 4pm and they were not selling any drinks except water. What type of golf course doesnt sell beer or snacks on Saturday afternoon? Also no one told us when we arrived that we had to be done by 730. A guy was pulling all flag sticks and told us we had to come in around 725. This was our first time hearing this. There was still a good 45 minutes of daylight. It was extremely aggravating not being able to finish. We did have a kid with us so we played late, and let several singles go through only to be kicked off the course on the 17th tee. Will not be going back.

This is a great little course and isn’t very long. So if your a low handicap golfer then you probably won’t be challenged. But if your a high handicapper like me then this course is for you. Greens were just aerated so they were a little bumpy but still in good shape. GPS on carts was awesome and price was fair. My only problem was no directional signs for someone who hasn’t been there before. Was a struggle at times to get around. I would definitely recommend this course.

As a member, I am somewhat disappointed the greens were not top dressed after the necessary aerification.

Sammon’s is a great value. Conditions are excellent. The only drawback is that the routing can be confusing. Some signs could help this. People are friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Great course for the money has some challenging holes with water in play so you have to control your shots not a long course but a number of creeks you have to clear

Put flags back in so you can play golf again for real. Teebox you still need help but otherwise course in great shape

This course use to be lacking in a lot of areas but they have turned it around and this is a great one to play now. Greens and fairways are very nice. This is the best course you could play that isn’t going to break the bank! Will be playing here again

No signs leading to next hole where needed sometimes. Spent way too much time driving around looking for a hole, asking people to point me in the right direction. Seems like a simple fix.

The tee boxes, fairways and greens are in very nice condition. The only problem is the course layout that causes players to play to the wrong greens. The cart paths are confusing to say the least and to the extent that golfers have to ask each other which way is the next hole.

Worth the $40

You gett to test your skills on a pinpoint location course that can be devilishly tough in the wind. Lots of water

I looked forward to playing this course I had heard about water being a factor on a lot of holes I looked at it as a challenge to play. The carts were nice with GPS displayed for each hole.

It was confusing driving from hole to hole Limited signage and lack of direction made it frustrating. I liked the course and will be back to play it again The course was in good condition from fairway to green
