Great Course
Great course for the money, staff friendly, food great. Can be hilly for a 1st timer, especially the 2nd, 5th and 6th. Narrow in places, so keep your shots straight or you will be punished.
Decent for price
Busy municipal course. Bit rough around edges but for £8 no complaints. Tees muddy. Very undulating!
Different
9 holes, 18 tees. can get delays if playing 18.
Very (too) hilly, particularly #2.
Interesting holes, a little short.
Not too crowded, good value, Good cafe.
Beginner at Golf
Nice day, nice course only did 9 holes with my boss, some good hills and challenges
A tight, tidy and enjoyable course
There are no par 5s and nine holes with 18 tee placements. This aside, it is a very pleasurable course to play and is well maintained. It is 'tight' - wayward shots can be punished by the trees - and there are some steep climbs and descents in places. It is picturesque and challenging at times. The bar / cafe is a popular venues for non golfers and the prices are very reasonable. There is a driving range, a putting green and a small pro shop.
