Great course, good value for money
Really enjoyed playing here. Great variety of holes and was in great condition. Greens were well maintained and ran true. Good value for money. Definitely play here again.
Midweek hack
Good gentle course with enough challenges to keep a hacker interested.
Not too busy.
Greens ran well despite heavy downpour.
Car park a bit muddy to be honest, new trainers need a wash !
Staff really polite - yes, in this age !
Layout of Course is good. Tee Boxes uneven and poor. Greens nothing like practice Green a lot slower mainly and inconsistent pace and unpredictable. Shame nice staff and could be a really good golf course if looked after better.
Good For What It Is
Have played here numerous times over the years and often found it to be welcoming. When it's busy - there can be a lot of slow play, and a number of unrepaired pitchmarks/divots can remain. However, playing on September 30th - the course was in really good condition. Mid-Week is a great time to go, fairly quiet allowing a good pace of play. The greens were exceptional given the wet and windy weather, no standing water (which the course used to suffer from) - and readable too!
The fairways were in reasonable condition - however a number of divots not repaired - not much the club can do about that.
The Tee-Boxes have always been a little frustration, uneven, lumpy and full of divots. This remains the case - sometimes teeing off on a hill, on a lump - even when teeing back a foot or two.
Overall, the price of the course is good given the condition it is in. The club is very inclusive - inviting all types, ages and abilities - whilst providing temptation with some hazards. I will continue to play this course - and would recommend others to try it.
Nice to play
Was there on a Saturday and I was really happy for visiting this beautiful golf course. Greens and Fairways are in good shape. The Clubhouse is nothing special but there is all you need. All in all it’s worth to play!
Priors Hall
Second time here and enjoyed it again. You won’t find course maintenance at it’s best here. Very little definition between faraway and light rough but the greens were good and ran true. The bunkers were hit and miss. Some were solid mud with a tiny covering of sand/gravel some were a little better. Overall though this course is a good challenge and provides an engaging 18 holes. Great value for money and a decent bar after for some refreshments.
Tough course for seniors
Enjoyed course and did not feel pressured last hole very demanding considering I ‘m a senior golfer tired at end must get a buggy next time.
The 40 min Drive was worth it
An excellent course that presents a good challenge to average to good golfers. The greens were very good and the fairways and bunkers were in good condition also. The same cannot be said for the tees, which were in less than good condition. Well worth the green fee!
Great course
Lovely setting, plays wonderfully and the greens were amazing today. Staff have done an amazing job at 5his course, can't wait for my next round
Play it soon
Course is currently in great condition, with smooth greens and fairways. Tees are a bit scrappy but that reflects their usage. Great last hole going back up the hill.
Good value, fair condition, almost deserted.
Not played here for five years. Not much has changed.
Greens fair, not too fast.
Fairways in good condition.
Tee boxes not that good, need a bit of work on them.
There are lots of bunkers on the course. Their condition varies though overall, they could also do with some work.
Thursday afternoon, quiet and round in under three hours. Won't be leaving it for five years again!
Good Value
Good value for money. Greens good but a little slow. Biggest improvement for this course would be to spend money on flattening the tees out and getting them in a better condition.
Value for money
Nice open fairways, if you’re a beginner or your driving is erratic. Uneven tees is a down side
Priors Hall
Played on a Sunday afternoon and the course was very busy but there were no hold ups. The course is in good condition and we had an enjoyable round. The lady in the shop was very friendly and helpful.
A great course but poor bar staff individual
Great layout and greens were looking good
Afterwards in the bar the woman serving was rude on 3 separate occasions. Demanded we use coasters, told us we were too loud, argued with us about ordering a half instead of a pint. Unbelievable.
