First time in a while!
Not been here in a while, really enjoyed it. Lovely setting, great course and greens were in pretty good nick too! Just needs some money spending on bunkers and tee boxes but not a massive deal.
Bad conditions
The course wasn’t in great condition
The rough is rough
The fairway is rough
The greens are fairways
Need a lawn mower round the place
Disgraceful to see how many pitch marks are everywhere
What a shame
2nd time playing here, thought I'd give it a second go, played 9 holes this time then walked off, what a waste of time, pace of play is ridiculously slow even with 2 groups in front using carts, doesn't help when 1st cart was advancing ball a 100yards down the fairway at each stop, the course itself could be amazing but is let down by poor fairway and rough care, i.e needs cutting more, greens on other hand are great, bunkers are appalling looks like building sand with grass weeds mixed in. Won't be back a 3rd time the course players etiquette is abysmal, 5 balls 6 balls, and general slow play, where are the course Marshals should have learnt from my 1st trip waste of time and money
This could be a great golf course
The actual course layout is great, it just needs a little bit more care and attention to greens and fairways, fairways are quite bare in areas, not lush, and plenty of clover growing in them, also lot of grass cuttings just left on fairway edges, which does a great job of hiding your ball, when you've hit a decent shot just a few ft off line, this seems to slow the pace down quite a lot, groups in front seemed to spend ages looking for balls. Their were also quite a lot of upto 6ball groups I counted on back 9, course needs a Marshall checking play, other than that this could be a jewel of a course with the right management
Could be a nice course
1st time I've played here, it is a nice set up, but greens and fairways not as good as could be, also play is very slow, you can't blame that on the course, but some of the balls in front hgad very high expectations of their tee and 2nd shots, especially when I'd been watching them play, duffing it 50-60 yards in front, left and right, but still waiting till group in front got at least 350 away, I think this is a course for the winter when the sun seeker's aren't out.
Very poor
Shocking pace of play with 3/4 balls ahead on every hole
I walked off after 11 holes as could not be bothered to wait any more
Corby Weekly
Let me start with the positives. Greens ran pretty well and Tee Time was as booked at a fair price. Tee boxes were very uneven., fairways grass was either long or a mud type lies. Shame as course has some nice holes just needs tlc. What left a bitter taste is we played in hot conditions and found bar to be closed at 4pm which in Summer seems bizarre.
Nice Course - Friendly People
Booked this as not played for a while and wanted a course that is not too tight. This fits the bill perfectly, most drives give you space and the green approaches offer some good target golf with some well placed bunkers. Tee to green it is very enjoyable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definatley be going back there.
Blind 18th green
This is a fantastic course for all levels of player. Plenty of undulations on fairways and greens and as for the 18th - you need a sherpa to reach the green if you are used to the flat land of the fens.
The lady in the clubhouse was brilliant managing to squeeze us in after we arrived half hour late due to traffic. Try this course out, I don't think you'll be disappointed
Drenched but enjoyable
Played in pouring rain , except for puddles on green course condition was good.
Rain kept many away so finished in just over 3 hours.
Priors hall
Fantastic course in brilliant condition but unfortunately it took over 4 and a half hours to play the round.
Beautiful course, shame about the greens.
Picturesque course, beautiful setting. Tee boxes and greens were the only two things to let down this otherwise well maintained and challenging course. Hoping it’s the effect of a very cold winter/spring and will be rectified by the summer.
