Hidden gem

First time I played here.

Absolutely loved it!

The greens were a bit patchy with some kind of weed. But they were really soft and the ball ran very well.

The actual course layout was absolutely stunning. One of the most picturesque courses you will play on. You have to plot your way around and not hit a driver on every par 4 .

The staff were friendly and the guinness was great 👍

A real hidden gem.

I Will be returning next week to play it again .

Friendly and relaxed

This almost feels like a family run course. Members are friendly. The course is challenging especially if you don’t play conservatively. Lots of hazards to catch wayward drives.

Tees and greens are not in good condition in places but then the green fees reflect this.

Enjoy the challenge but don’t expect a championship course.

A Gem that needs a bit of care

It's a shame the greens seem neglected. It's a lovely course & very friendly. Apparently up for sale which might be why it's not so very well maintained at the moment.

Challenging course with some tight fairways. High rough in both sides.

Some greens could do with work but overall had a good few hours playing golf here at a good price

Value for money

Nice and quiet, Tee times after 4 are only 12£ so really affordable golf. Yes the greens are not the best kept but fairways are decent. For 12£ you can’t complain.

Richmond Park GC

Friendly members. Friendly staff. Course in need of some TLC but didn't deter a lovely day. Could be be a great track but as I said a little touch up would be a fantastic challenge. Will be coming again soon. 28 notes ok value for money.

Better than reports on GN

After reading reports on this was a little hesitant to book….

The course needs a slight tidy up on a couple of tees & greens if budget would allow but for £18 per head we didn’t complain.

Still a great wee course to play & enjoyable layout.

Had the course to ourselves just about & with my son still learning the game it was perfect with no peer pressure .

Shame that the bar was closing as we walked off the 18th green!

But will definitely be back , cheers Richmond 👍🏼

Pleasant surprise

If you’re looking for a top golf course this is definitely not for you.

It’s doesn’t have great greens, fairways or tee boxes but the course layout is really enjoyable to play. We played at 12 o’clock and the course was empty! We got a friendly welcome at check-in and a thorough description of the course and facilities, this was first class.

So to summarize, a great day out and fun golf with friends at just £18 each, we all thought it was a bargain!

Good course but needs tlc

Nice course but needs some tlc on the greens and the rough needs cutting as it is knee high in places and you have no hope of finding your ball also the 7th and the 18th tee there are trees overhanging the tee box so it is impossible to get a good tee shot away without hutting them which was frustrating. But the layout is very good and very challenging definitely rated to low for how hard it is as I have played courses rated harder and thus course was harder than them but all in all a nice course

Was expecting bettter

First time here , didn’t know the layout.

Arrived had no idea where to book in , asked in the clubhouse just got told it’s over the road then to the left.

Asked for a scorecard non-available so had no idea how the holes were laid out.

Fairways were ok but the rough each side on a high percentage of holes was full of stinging nettles which for a beginner like me was frustrating.

The greens need attention several had grass that was dead and black.

The biggest problem I had was there were no direction signs to the next hole which again was frustrating.

I understand the price point for 18 holes is cheaper than most but some TLC is needed to make it more attractive,

Well worth it

Apart from signage there really isn’t anything to complain about, especially for the price. Payed twice the price for worse golf elsewhere so this is as a welcome surprise.

Some greens patchy in places but pins weren’t near the bad patches, couple of tee boxes a bit bare and a bit of a gamble to find the next tee box on some holes but nothing like some of these reviews suggest it is.

Decent

A decent golf course, fairways and rough challenging. Plenty of water hazards around as well. Greens definitely need work/maintenance, which lets the course down. Can’t really complain for the price though!

Richmond Park GC

An enjoyable round of golf, course and facilities could use a bit of a face lift, but at the price point for a round of golf, complaining feels harsh. Greens a bit flat and not hugely exciting. A good course for a high handicap golfer like me.

Gone down hill

Have not played Richmond park for 10 years or so,I can't believe how far downhill it has slipped. The fairways and greens were in poor condition whilst the bunkers had little to no sand in them.Every bin was over flowing with empty alcohol cans and bottles with cans and even shot glasses and half finished bottles laying beside the bins. The plus point was only payed £18 so not expensive.
