Royal Ascot Visit.
A great round on a great course. The course was in brilliant nick. The greens were in fantastic position. Would highly recommend a visit. The friendliest course we play on Golf Now’s selection locally.
Day in Heaven for US golfers
The course is a gem with a great layout and the best greens in the area. The club members are spectacular and treat guests as part of the club. Not a real showplace but a real treat for a golfer from the US. I will e back!
Great golf course
Picked it on a hot deal because of the reviews and glad I did. Great course in fantastic condition and good challenge. Green’s exceptional. Pace of play only issue with members walking off on the back 9 as it was slow so can imagine at peak times it’s a long round. Will definitely go back
Lovely tee boxes and greens.
Lovely tee boxes and greens. Pace of play was a little slow, but to be expected on a Sunday afternoon. Course overall was neat, enjoyable and had several testing holes. Very friendly bar staff and would definitely recommend.& play again.
Really friendly club
Due to a computer error between GolfNow system and club system, time had been double booked. The Pro was really helpful and apologetic, and asked some members if I could join their group. They were great fellas - friendly, helpful and good fun. The course is in really good condition considering the recent weather, with some challenging and thought provoking holes. Highly recommended, will certainly be back, and thanks to the guys who let me tag along in their regular game.
Course was in fantastic condition
I have played R.A. quite a few times and it is always in good condition, but they have really upped their game this year.
Weather has been poor for a long time now and most courses are struggling/ resorting to temp greens and mats whereas the course here was immaculate when we played. Greens had just been ironed too so we're a very respectable speed and ran true.
Fantastic value for the price
Very Enjoyable
My first visit to Royal Ascot Golf Club. Very friendly welcome in the pro shop, very friendly members, course in excellent condition, especially the greens. Pace of play a little slow, however it was a beautiful day, so must have lured many members to the course to take advantage of it. Hopefully will be back again some time soon
Reason for only 3 stars.
Except for the hollow-tired greens the course was in very good condition.
Great Course and Super People
I played this course with my two sons last weekend, despite some disappointment when I arrived to see that it was not the course I played years ago within the confines of the race track - I was open minded and after a superb breakfast and some excellent service by everyone in the clubhouse, from Pro Shop to Bar Staff we went out and played 18 holes and really enjoyed the course and the day in general. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending others to play here in the future. Well done to all concerned on the day, even the Captain spoke to us, and the only slight downside was the speed of play of some of the people on the course, but, we cannot legislate for those that are always waiting on shots when obviously incapable of reaching the group in front of them!!
A good option for an away round
Generally a great course, well cared for, nicely presented, good pace of play and a fair challenge.
Only criticism is 14, 15, 16 a bit similar and quite tightly packed.
Great course!
First time I played here, excellent course, facilities and staff. The fairways have suffered from lack of rain which is clearly not the club’s fault, greens were in superb condition despite this, members and staff very friendly. I’ll definitely come back!
Really enjoyed playing there for first time.
3 stars for condition but not their fault. Very very dry conditions, so not really their fault.
