Great course good challenge

It’s an impressive layout. Lots of interesting and varied holes. Nice setting. This could be a Top 100 course in the right hands. Fairways were good, greens had just had major work so were bumpy. I’d play it again in a couple of months when the weather has given a bit of rain and the greens recovered. Bar area was fine, nothing special, outside patio is nice, overlooking 18th green. Definitely worth playing, cost £55. If you could get it for less then probably a bargain. Found the pace of play fine, no waiting.

Challenging and good course

I’ve played this course a few times and it stacks up against some of the other great courses in the area.

Greens were nice and smooth, fairways were well maintained. The holes 4 and 5 were slightly wetter than the rest, but still good.

Not one hole feels the same and it’s always a good challenge.

And as others say, sausage rolls were incredible!

Windy weather
Walked

The greens were very fast and the fairways were hard giving lots of bounce. Challenging course lots of grass cuttings around the fringes of the greens which spoilt the approach shots. Difficult to navigate sometimes from one hole to the next, not enough signage or a course map on the score cards, fortunately we gad some help from members in finding the next tees. Would play again.

Challenging course

The course condition was excellent. A lot of work has been done on managing drainage over the last year or to and it’s really paid off. Some great holes to test club choice and accuracy with a lot of water to contend with.

If there is one of the homemade sausage rolls at the halfway house, grab it. They’re excellent

Friendly Club House and Staff. Good greens, hard fairways

Turned up with a group of friends, just to realise I'd forgotten my clubs. No hire clubs, but the staff cobbled a bag of all sorts together for me. Thanks.

Friendly staff in the shop and bar and halfway hut.

Nice home made Sausage Roll.

Course- greens in very good condition.

Unfortunately some fairways rock hard, probably a better course in Spring or Autumn.

Beautiful course

A lovely course, even given the amount of rain in previous days, the course was well maintained and managed, apart from losing a couple of balls to the fishes, thoroughly enjoyable and the half way house was a bonus !
