About
The scenic ranchlands west of Fort Worth are full of rugged canyons, native wildflowers, and impressive elevation changes, all of which are incorporated into Canyon West’s design. Located atop Parker County’s highest summit, this 1997 18-holer incorporates all of those North Texas Hill Country features and more into its design. Waterfalls, miles of streams, exposed rocks, prairie grasses, wildflowers, and loads of oak, pecan, elm, and mesquite trees highlight the landscape.
Elevated tees offer views of the countryside. In addition to the scenery, golfers are welcomed by generous fairways that make this a fairly user-friendly course, especially given its reasonable yardage of 6,653 from the tips and the fact that water comes into play on only about half of the holes.
Other notes: During the week, the course offers seniors a two-for-one green fee. Walking is not allowed.
Getting there : From Ft. Worth, go west on I-20 and take exit 403. Cross left over the freeway and then make a quick right onto the service road. The entrance is 2.5 miles down the road.

Happy Camper
For this time of the year the course was in good condition. This is one of my favorite courses to play.
This might be the best course in the DFW
Never played here before, we were instantly impressed by the layout and view from the club house (you can see the entire course from the club house). I also really liked that they had nice mats to chip from onto the greens to practice your chipping, usually when you try to practice your chipping at other courses you are a met with a “no chipping sign”.
The course design itself is awesome, very challenging and fair, but the real kicker is how beautiful it is. Waterfalls, huge limestone accents, old western decor and cactus, and the general condition of the course is incredible. We played during winter so everything was dormant, can’t wait to play here when everything is green. A must play golf course
Scenic layout
Very scenic layout, great value for the money. A little bit of a drive depending on where you're coming from.

Had some out of town relatives and we played the course and we thoroughly enjoyed the round

Greens are in good shape. Fairways are rough but overall very playable.
Fun coarse
We had a great time. They let five of us play together. The weather was perfect and the staff very friendly and helpful. Nice carts with GPS was a plus. I live an hour to the North but it’s worth the drive. We will be back.
Good time
Fairways were patchy, with many bare spots. And a few holes were roped off, with cart path only. Greens were in good shape and very puttable. Maybe more rain next year will bring better course conditions. Still had a good time.
Fairways were like rock. Greens average.
Easy course, needs work on fairways, over priced for the courses condition.
