Canyon West Golf and Sports Club

I understand there are water issues around with no rain but the fairways are gone. Burnt grass and dirt is what you will be playing off of. Other courses I could have played and not wasted my time driving out there. Pace of play is horrible. Maybe send a Marshal out to check on things. Wish someone would have let me know the condition of the fairways.

Fairways are all dead. Don't play. Charging full price for a terrible course. Sad because this used to be a course I would drive an hour for. Not anymore.

A great course for the Weatherford area. Staff are friendly and helpful. Carts are clean with GPS included. The 9th hole par 5 hits from a tall hill creating a memorable view.

Took us 5hours to play 18 holes an there was only 2 of us playing in front of us there was a group of 4,2 and 2 groups of 5 and they wouldn't let us play through

The course was great but the pace was terrible it took us 5 hrs to play 18 holes and there was only two in our group the course should think about having Marshall's on the course to speed up the slow groups

Good course although thee fairways are in bad shape because of drought conditions. My cart had major Gos problems. Carr would quit working going down the cart path. The GPS screen would say that I was too close to the green return to cart path. This happened several times. After eleven holes it wore me out so I quit and went to the house.

1st time playing. There are a few holes I should have driven up to get an idea where to hit. Will play again once it’s cooler as the ground was like concrete. Greens were watered ok.

I am temporarily stating in Weatherford, TX but always bring my clubs to try new courses. This was a great course tucked way back in a beautiful Texas style subdivision. Clubhouse and pro shop were very friendly and accommodating. The best part of this course was the free water bottles iced down in coolers on every few holes. That was a lifesaver because it was 102 when I played. I enjoyed the elevation changes this course offered. It made you question club selection especially when the wind bkew through the open Texas fields. The course was open and very forgiving if you struggle to hit the fairway. The greens were challenging as someone them were TINY maybe 10 or 15ft with hole placements up against the rough. My only feedback was the fairways were hard as concrete and made getting under the ball and gaining traction very difficult. The rough was the ideal play sometimes because there was more grass then the fairways.

Overall great course and would play again if in the area!

Always enjoy my round here. The course is challenging and at the same forgiving. You will have a good game here.

This has always been one of my favorite courses to play. If you haven’t played this course then you need to put it on your bucket list.

The course has really gotten away from them with this heat. Played here countless times and this is the worst I’ve ever seen it. Fried fairways, packed bunkers, and bumpy greens

I played here 2 months ago. This time, the cart had a very good working GPS. The fairways were noticeably greener and more healthy. The removed fence on the left of #10 has been removed. #11 has new cart path to access the blues and gold tees. And igloo containers had very cold bottled water in them. What’s not to like?
