Canyon West Golf and Sports Club

I drove way out of my way to play this course and it was well worth it. I play a lot of golf, and this is one of the best public courses in the area. If you haven't played it yet, I beg you to make a special effort to play it! You won't be disappointed! So many picturesque holes, you feel like a kid in a candy shop. I will definitely be back!

The greens are in excellent shape, they rolled well. The fairways were very well turf. Rough was thick. Layout is challenging but not gimmicky. Terrific course.

I look forward to playing this course again some day. Challenging for low handicappers due to many doglegs and elevation changes.

Course was in excellent condition. Greens and fairways was soft, which they should be after the rain we had on Saturday. One of the best course out here.

This was my first time to play Canyon West but will not be the last even though I played terrible and it is 35 miles from my home. We will play it again in the near future as the golf course is so beautiful just to look at even if you were not playing golf.

For playing in August and dry been you didn't have to touch your ball everything is green the course was in great condition Love to play this course

This is an incredible course. It is so beautiful and presents a lot of interesting challenges along the way. We had a great time on a very hot day.

Played in the afternoon on a hot July Sunday- course was in decent shape with exception of the bunkers. Greens were very firm. Great time to play because it was very relaxed and wide open. Only downside was a little pricey for that time of day and heat. But overall- thumbs up!

I found the course to be in excellent condition. The layout presented moderae challenges, with some blind shots that made club choice and shot selection a concern. I would recommend the course to anyone who enjoys golf with a elevation changes and a wonderful view. The carts were new and mine performed flawlessly. Water and resgtroom facilities were well spaced. Walking would be a challenge for all but those who are in the best of shape. While outside of the DFW area, it is worth the drive.

I played on July 4th and it was pretty well open out there. Everyone was friendly and the course was excellent - only issue was lots of water in all the traps. But, the elevation changes were outstanding including a par 3 (8th?) that drops a few stories. Not much rough. Wonderful, relaxing experience, WELL worth the drive from Dallas for me. Will replay well return to the area, give it a shot.

This course is well designed and taken care of. It is challenging yet still fun. Several awesome tee shots as well as challenging hazards. The grill is also worth taking a break at.

After several inches of rain during the week, the course was expectedly wet and CPO. On the other hand, I have never seen it so green. Bunkers were unplayable and filled with water - lots of turtles in the bunkers. Greens had just been punched and were very bumpy and slow (about 6 on stimp). My feeling is that the course should let you know about this ahead of time, but I know it will never happen. I do like the course, and I actually enjoy the drive from Euless (50 miles). The views are pretty cool from 10 teebox. Will try coming back in early fall.

This course has a nice layout. It allows you to use every club in your bag, but it was like playing on concrete this time. It was unusually dry and hard ( especially for spring ). I've played a lot here in the past and this was by far the worst condition I've seen the course.

Beautifully kept course. Challenging but yet forgiving. The fairways and greens are in great shape, even for March. Fast becoming my favorite course.

I absolutely love this course. Great layout, great shape and the greens were pretty good for this time of year. On the third hole the course owner cam by and thanked us for coming out to play. Never had that happen before. You can tell that these guys care about their course. beautiful country setting. Quiet except for birds chirping. Beautiful landscape. perfect tee boxes. Fairways were great for February in Texas. Greens were in great shape and played fair. This course is now in my groups rotation. About an hour drive from my house but it was very much worth it.
