About
The scenic ranchlands west of Fort Worth are full of rugged canyons, native wildflowers, and impressive elevation changes, all of which are incorporated into Canyon West’s design. Located atop Parker County’s highest summit, this 1997 18-holer incorporates all of those North Texas Hill Country features and more into its design. Waterfalls, miles of streams, exposed rocks, prairie grasses, wildflowers, and loads of oak, pecan, elm, and mesquite trees highlight the landscape.
Elevated tees offer views of the countryside. In addition to the scenery, golfers are welcomed by generous fairways that make this a fairly user-friendly course, especially given its reasonable yardage of 6,653 from the tips and the fact that water comes into play on only about half of the holes.
Other notes: During the week, the course offers seniors a two-for-one green fee. Walking is not allowed.
Getting there : From Ft. Worth, go west on I-20 and take exit 403. Cross left over the freeway and then make a quick right onto the service road. The entrance is 2.5 miles down the road.

Always a good round
Canyon West is our favorite course. We don't play it as much as we like because the price keeps going up. They had just punched the greens so that is the reason for the condition review. They were also finishing up a tournament so the service at the bar was less than good. (it was bad) They were busy
quality course great value
course has been improved since last time i played this course several years back, great golf for the weather we had, cart path only , extreme amounts of rain, played between rain showers. cant wait to play when dry.
Fun course to play
This course has excellent views of the country side. Always well maintained and courteous staff. The course has all the challenge I want and is fun to play.

Great course
This is a beautiful wide open couse. Wide fairways make it a forgiving course. it's hard to hit the ball in an unplayable situation. Maybe my new favorite course!

Even Tho the grass was dry it's still a nice challenging course.. I would recommend it to anyone.!! Best time to play is in summer time..

Greens were in good shape for this time of year. Greens rolled true. Several fairways were bare. Would like to see the fairways overseeded.

A great golf course to play any time of the year
It's November so the time of year affects the course. With that being said, the course was in great shape considering the rain we had a couple weeks ago. The wind gusts were over 30 mi/hrs at times. Still a fun course to p,at for $25.00. The greens are fast and in great shape. Fairways are in good shape as wel .
Great layout
This course is laid out nicely. The greens are large and in great condition. It's a fun and challenging course to play. You won't be disappointed. Especially if you get one of the great deals offered on golfnow!
The course was in great shape
The course was in great shape and the staff are very friendly. I scored my first Eagle on hole 2. To say it was a beautiful day for golf would be an understatement.

Course was in good condition for end of the summer in texas, fairways were still in decent shape and the greens were consistent and smooth.

Greens were in excellent shape, a little slow but the ball seemed to roll good.
